The issue? There's an insane amount of information and it's hard to determine what works for one curly haired girl to the next. What I did learn though was that there are salons specifically catered to curly clients. I got to googling and found Ellenoire in my area. My first visit was a virgin cut where I learned so much about the dos and don't specifically for my curly hair. I walked away with all new products that I love and have helped my hair drastically and now I know hot to take care of my specific hair. 5 out of 5 doesn't cut it!…read more I've been a client of Monika's for some time now. The very first time I saw Monika, it was just to get a hair cut. I had very long (almost waist length hair), and it was dry, damaged, and unmanageable. I decided I was going to cut it, jusy past shoulder length. Monika immediately reassured me, and took control of what I wanted. She listened to what I was asking, made her suggestions, ensured I was ok with this big decision, and then went for it! Before this encounter, I had not been in a salon, for over 2 years. I was sick of bad experiences, or just being content with my new hair cut. During that first cut, Monika got me to open up about my "hair goals". I told her what I wished I could do, but my hair was so damaged, and I was too afraid to try. Again, she reassured me. Finally, when I went back to get a trim, decided to let her take care of colouring it (box colour and roots were attrocious). WOW! Is all I can say, it was absolutely amazing, and I haven't turned back since! I let Monika do whatever she wants with my hair! She definitely knows best, and my hair has come such a long way, is so much healthier (not just healthy looking!), all while I've been able to enjoy having it coloured! Both my brothers also see Monika, and it is amazing. Much like me, one was very shy and timid with hair cuts (wore a hat at all times because he was too nervous to get a hair cut), and Monika world wonders! He doesn't even look like the same person, and certainly does not wear hats all the time anymore! We travel over an hour to see Monika, so I cannot recommend her highly enough!! I've added pictures of the first, and most recent colours from Monika. Even looking at the two before pics, you can see the complete difference in health of my hair. I told her what happened and she talked me into allowing her to do my daughers hair .In the end the hair was not particularly done well, she didnt cut her hair and only dried it. I this was done so they didnt have to give me the $100 of services that I had with my promo.
