This is still one of my favorite places to visit while in Helsinki. I found myself here again going in and watching the crowds eat, drink coffee, and shop for specialty gourmet items. You can find tea, coffee, cheese galore, pastry or just enjoy watching the locals and tourist shopping.
The second floor houses several gift shops, good old-fashioned shoe repairman, seamstress, and watch repair shop. This is truly a very
unique place to purchase souvenirs. I can highly recommend it.
You can easily get there by foot, bus, metro, Taxi or trams.
HOWEVER. one majorly negative thing is the WC - Restroom situation. They are located somewhere between the floors. Do not go to this place if you need to
use those, or if you have an elderly person with you. Get ready to use credit/debit card to pay 0.50 Euros. I do not mind paying, (It's often required in Finland) but I carry cash and do not charge such small amounts. This time it was a nightmare and had to ask an employee to let mom get in.
