Wow everything from the buffet had so much flavor. The rice with lamb was spectacular. It's was literally falling off the bone and cooked to perfection. The okra was so delicious and so was the kabuli palaw (rice with raisins and carrots). They even had spaghetti bolognese. My kids loved the pasta. It felt so warm and inviting there. I tried their Super Gyros Sandwich and it was a huge disappointment. Very little meat and extremely salty as well. Price was listed on the menu on the wall $7.99 but got charged $8.99. Staff explained that prices went up by a dollar but they didn't correct the listed pricing. $8.99 for that sandwich which is less than half the food compare to Chipotle Burrito. Finally had a really good gyro in the valley after a long time. The jumbo gyro reminded me of my childhood, when my aunt used to buy me gyros that were from another restaurant that after she left I could no longer find. The gyro was PERFECT meat to sauce to salad to bread ratio. More importantly, the owner literally customized the Greek fries for me by GOING OUT TO THE store and bought Serrano peppers to make my Greek fries spicy. IT TASTED AMAZING. read more

The change in ownership has done wonders for this place. The food has always been decent but the crabby gentleman behind the counter used to be a pain to deal with. Terrible service from the owner lady. I ordered only 2 curly fries and charged me for 3. She is a an absolute horrid human with no compassion and has a very unfriendly demeanor. The place was renamed from an older restaurant that obviously was not doing well. The lady in the front is friendly, but has difficulty speaking English and is a bit hard to understand. We've ordered from here many times over the past few years since it is one of few halal options close to us. The chicken wings were always our favorite as they were incredibly crispy but still moist on the inside. However recently we've had very disappointing and frustrating experiences. First we ordered through Grubhub, which we usually did, but when we went to pick up the order the lady said she hadn't seen it. The next time we called in to place our order thinking it would alleviate the problem. When we got home none of our requests (no onions, no sauce, etc) had been followed. We still didn't want to give up on this place, especially during this time when small businesses are hurting so I went in person to place the order and then went to get groceries from next door. When I came back 30 minutes later she had completely forgotten about my order! She promised it would be ready in 10 minutes, and since I had already paid I waited. 20 minutes later I got my drinks out of the fridge and went to take my food and she tried to charge me again. I had to show her the charge on my phone and the receipt in her drawer to prove that I had already paid for the food and drinks and was not stealing the drinks as she suggested. Got home with the food and everything was burnt - fries, gyro, chicken wings. We tried to keep giving this place a chance but it's no longer the service or quality that made us loyal customers. read more

The chapli kebab burger! It's absolutely the best burger ever! Of course I had to order it without cheese to be kosher but oh my God what a great burger. I will suggest this place to every single person I've ever meet and I will be coming back here over and over and over again. Oh and the fries ain't bad either! See now that I could have with cheese but they don't have that. Maybe I should have taken the cheese off my burger and put it on the fries. But I have to tell you it's one of the best burgers I've ever had in my lifetime. read more

We placed a large order for delivery for a company meeting at this restaurant. The order was placed 24 hours in advance for 30 people, and this place accepted it. We even called them, and informed them on the phone of the large incoming order. The day of, we received an online notice that the food was being made, and we thought all was kosher. But then the delivery window came and went, and the food never showed up. We called the restaurant again and again, but they wouldn't pick up. We had a driver there trying to get the food for us, but he couldn't even get into the restaurant. After calling multiple times, we finally got them on the line, and they were completely oblivious to our order, even though it showed online that they had accepted it. They made all kinds of pathetic excuses as to why the food wasn't made. Needless to say, we had a large group of hungry, angry people, and this place couldn't even call us to let us know that they couldn't meet the request. So much for customer service. Very disappointing...do NOT count on this place to feed your hungry group. read more

loved the bolani, which is a pan fried savory "pancake"-- must like the Taiwanese green onion pancake-- that is LARGE ENOUGH FOR A FAMILY OF FOUR. it was made fresh and came with a yogurt sauce, and a slightly spicy green sauce. we also loved the mantu, which is a dumpling dish (possibly steamed or boiled) with cream and lentil bean sauce. the skin of the dumping is thin and delicious. we have not had anything like it before! will be back and try the cheeseburger! read more

Such a great place to eat ! They offer varieties of different dishes and American foods. I went with my children and they got chicken strips and let me say .. usually chicken strips are a bit hard and crunchy for their little mouths but at Halal kitchen cafe the meat was cooked to perfection ! My children's enjoyed their food so much there was nothing left to take home. I ordered a lamb plate and wow ! It was so delicious. The service was great and the cook was sooo friendly ! She came out to ask customers how they were enjoying their meals? And you can tell that there's love that goes into her cooking and she cares about the customers opinions. Came here because I was craving afghan food and this was the only place closest to me so I had no choice but to give it a try. Also because I had called yesterday to place an order at 8:30 pm and no one answered. I called 4 times. The food was decent, however there was only one woman working all by herself. She was responsible for taking orders and cooking ALL the food (on a Friday night) Obviously the customer service wasn't the best, one woman was trying to do everything and she couldn't speak English. The only tip I have is for the owners of this establishment. Help out this overworked woman and hire actual people to take orders and help cook and if you can't fulfill online orders, don't advertise for it. They even have things on the menu that they don't even sell or simply ran out of them. We even had to step in and help her assist customers because it was difficult for her to take orders over the phone. This place lacks a lot of efficiency and structure only because there's only one person running it, but it has a lot of potential. I'm not that bitter about it only because that woman was very kind to me however, whoever owns this place should be kind to her and their customers and fix this place from the ground up. Maybe this woman owns this place, I don't know. All I know if that I won't be coming back. read more
