Our project was in fact the most important day of our lives, it was the finalization of our daughters adoption. A two-year journey with many ups and downs that we wanted to ensure we had not only photos but video of for years to come. When Brian and I first talked on the phone he was so ecstatic about the idea of documenting our special day, I was thrilled to hear the excitement in his voice and the compassion and care he expressed for our adoption. The day came and he arrived at our house and blended seamlessly into the background of us getting ready to go to the courthouse. He asked very thoughtful questions that ended up making for wonderful conversation over the events of our adoption. He captured moments that we completely missed and smiles we never saw as we were definitely caught up in the moment of everything. He emailed me an initial estimate and then brought up one of the cassettes; it was in particularly rough shape - the tape was old and had issues and the sound quality was not great to start with. I especially appreciated Steve's communication about this cassette. After he tried a few things, he let me know its condition and then asked how much time I wanted him to spend on it. He presented me with where he would start and, if it didn't work, what he would do next. I explained it was a bit of a family heirloom and so I wanted him to do whatever it took. After another week, he explained the steps he took and then sent me the updated bill. This communication and care with the projects made this a very easy and comfortable process. I initially telephoned Griffin Photography wondering about price and availability for videography--which they advertise on their website. Cody emailed back with a question each day for several days but never gave me the basic price/availability information I had requested. Time was drawing short for me to hire someone, so after answering all his questions, I sent Cody a very polite second request about price and availability. Never heard from him again. If Griffin Photography doesn't want business, why not either close the website OR take a kindergarten lesson in professionalism and explain politely to potential customers that they need to search elsewhere?
