The staff was super friendly - including all of them. I have stayed at many hotels within the Scandic chain - you know what you get. Room is small but clean, flat screen HD TV with good selection of channels and even some free film and sports channels. We had a room on street level which was a bit annoying when getting dressed - so we had the curtains closed at all times. Bathroom is small and if your are supersupersized you will probably have difficulties getting into the shower. No towels for the floor which makes the floor very wet and you have to use one of the ordinary towels. I do not know if this is always the case, but I guess they had adjusted hours for breakfast to the fact that all (?) guests were there for the rock festival. Breakfast was served until 11 every morning, not only weekends. This was very much appreciated! Buffet is as any Scandic buffet - you will recognize it. maybe a bit smaller than at larger Scandics. They did not have both sausages AND meatballs - they had either or which is a downer. The scrambled eggs were creamy and good every morning. Beds are firm (too firm for me) but pillows are soft! A bit sensitive to room above, I don't know if it is the wooden floors - I've had the same experience at other Scandic hotels similar to this. Also late night they had hot dogs for SEK20 when coming back from the festivals - which I think was a nice service. Beer selection in the lobby is OK - they had Bulldog pale ale. They have outdoor seatings which was nice these sunny days. Free wifi. If you are looking for accommodations for the SRF I certainly recommend this hotel. Buses to the festival is just 5-10 minutes walk from here. Unfortunately this Scandic will turn Best Western from Jan 2014 - so for all you Scandic loyalty members there will no longer be a Scandic in Blekinge for your next Sweden Rock festival. The first thing you notice when entering this restaurant is the large balcony situated right over Mörrumsån (the Mörrum creek), and as the weather was good we had a seat outside, enjoying the beautiful view. After consulting the short menu we both ordered shrimp fried with garlic for a starter, followed by a flank steak for my friend and an entrecote for me. We also each had a beer from the local microbrewery, and later another beer from their small but good selection of beers. Wine is also available but I can't comment on that since I didn't try any. The shrimps, served with a slice of fried bread, were tasty and presented themselves well on the rectangular plate. A perfect first course that landed on the table not too long after we ordered. The meat was prepared as requested, with my entrecote rare and my friends flank steak medium. I was wondering about the cut at first, until I realized they'd removed the piece of fat normally found in an entrecote, a disposition I'm still wondering about since that is in my view part of the allure of this particular cut of meat, but I'm willing to ascribe it to differing culinary traditions, and the taste was still good if somewhat different from what I'd expected. The accompanying potatoes and vegetables were tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. All in all a nice dining experience at an affordable price and in an excellent location. I'd go there again just for dining with that view, although it may be a while since it's a couple hundred kilometres from Copenhagen.

Dessert includes soft serve ice cream. Really tasty all around and you can see right into the kitchen. Good service too. A little higher priced than some of the other places in town but worth it.

When I finally got my food (dumplings and stir fried veggies and tofu) it was very boring. The dumplings was way over cooked and felt old and stale. I've had food here before but eaten in and then the food has been good, think they need to spend more time on there takeaway food if I am to order from here again
