My wife and I stayed near the Half Moon Pub in Fellbeck in Nidderdale and ate there several times recently.
There is a smart crisp restaurant area and a less formal bar where dogs are allowed. The first day we went for a Sunday carvery, loads of food, funny little touches to the veg making it just a bit nicer / different and we were advised to be in good time as when it's gone it's gone. The meat was plentiful and very good. Nice range of wine and beer and all at a good price.
We had an afternoon and evening meal at The Half Moon too, the food was PUB GRUB, but again, plentiful, tasty and very reasonably priced; big crusted meat pie with veg and fantastic crunchy chips to die for.
Landlady / Landlord very nice and pleasant and could not be more welcoming.
I will say this though, it is a proper country pub where all the locals go, so if you are easily offended by a bit of Yorkshire banter you will miss what's best in Yorkshire.
Spotlessly clean throughout including the loos. read more
