The truth is that they don't try to convince me to fix it at their place which was the only positive about it. I have no reason for damaging their reputation but I feel that I should protect future customers from their lack of knowledge. They said to repair it would cost more £1600 thus they said dump it. They charged me £40 for the diagnostics ha ha ha! I took it just before I dump to the garage by hornsey station, I said it has been diagnosed as per TT1 notes, but before we dump it to the scrap yard please give it a last check. The diagnostics were...that one of the leads of my battery had been disconnected thus leading to the fan not being powered and the engine misfiring and getting overheated!!! Furthermore, I was asked by the hornsey garage man, why all these screws and etc are just placed here and not where they should be. I could only assume that TT1 unscrewd parts to check the engine and were too busy with other things than place them back. Totally disrespectful and incapable or at least that individual that check my car. If I were you I would avoid them, they r dangerous!

They admitted to me they were unable to find the fault and as a gesture of Good will did not charge me. Kipling on the other hand decided to charge me over £300 for a new alternator (2 days prior to this, breakdown repair services ran a diagnostic on my car and advised that my alternator was fine and that I would most likely need a new battery). Rather than change the battery, Kipling opted for the more expensive option. Handing me back my car STILL FAULTING. As a so called professional garage this is negligent as the car is unsafe to drive. Potentially causing a hazard to myself, pedestrians and other motor vehicle users. Being 5 mins apart. If you need your car repaired, go to F1 AUTOS, the Honest Garage.

He found that the nuts holding the rear axle were loose. Ian got the correct tools and fixed the problem within minutes. I brought it in this morning, and within 60 SECONDS had identified the problem (caused by a dodgy fix of my clutch during a previous service from a DIFFERENT garage.) He had the issue fixed in under 5 minutes and then told me I could just 'buy him a drink sometime!!!!!!!' as it was an easy fix. Personally I will be ONLY using Goodmans from now on and would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone, they are brilliant. I hit my 2010 polo moda in April and it was devestating damage. Michael had my car looking 'showroom new' I was gobsmacked, I literally couldn't believe it was my car. Tom diagnosed the problem, phoned me with several updates throughout the time I had my car with him and informed me on parts to replace before going ahead with the work. Now I have a new complete clutch assembly, including clutch fork, upper & lower clutch fork bushes, clutch fork repair kit, release bearing guide bush and clutch cable installed. For those who know about French cars these types of jobs are not for the faint hearted, but this was nothing new for the wonder boy genius Tom! I rang a good number of garages, most of which told me a load of rubbish about what was needed to repair mums car, as a mechanic myself i understand exactly how the dsg box works despite not actually repairing them myself. I didnt tell any garage my trade and acted like a general punter to make sure I found a garage that told me the truth about what needed to be done sadly most didnt, being in the trade I know only too well alot of garage's sadly rip people off. I spoke to Jason and he told me what was likely to be the issue and gave me a min and max price estimate, the fault he believed it to be was exactly what I had found extensive research results prior to calling for quotes. The car was dropped off to them Saturday while they were closed and by midday tuesday it was repaired and ready right in the middle of his price estimate. When I picked the car up the workshop was very clean and tidy and well organised, and they had even given mums car a courtesy wash. I have always done everything to the best of my ability and believed in doing things right. I truly believe I've stumbled on a gem of a company with customer service at the core.
