I reserved online, got quick service on a Sunday and the friendly bloke behind the counter lent me his clippers to cut the plastic packaging off. Quick, friendly, decent. Thanks very much. read more

The service was questionable at all three with them blaming the metals inside the cat for the expense and being unsure which cat system was needed for my car. These guys are totally professional and honest ( yes an honest garage) and they will only a charge you a fair price for work that actually needs doing. Top job very happy. Could not recommend enough.

Autac is the sort of store you visit because you have to, not because you want to…read more My visits here have always coincided with problems with my car. You see, Autac is a car accessory place for those DIY repair jobs that may be too small to take to a mechanics but are just too big to completely ignore. When I have needed to swap a bulb, touch up a scratch, or even replace a stolen number plate, then Autac has always been there for me. It's quaint in its own little way and the endless boxes of car knick-knacks look like Arkwright has had a hand in the unconsciously retro layout. But, that's where the charm ends. I'm not a fan of Autac's because the approach of the staff is unusual to say the least. You're guaranteed to hear one of the owner's sarcastic quips or silly jibes. Even if Lewis Hamilton came in, there'd be a reason to mock his query or belittle his purchases. Autac is the comedy club and you're sitting in the front row. Customers come out of necessity, not for a fantastic customer experience. If you can withstand the approach then the shop itself is great.

I have used this shop for years for both car parts and diy bits such as sealant, glues and spray paint. If you are of the non technical type he is only too happy to get his hands dirty to help get you on the road again. If you go in and give as good as you get you can have a real good laugh, not only a local store but somewhere to put a smile on your face.

He was actually recommended this place by a friend who lives near the area. It's quite a big spares centre with a mix of new and second hand motor spares for a various range of vehicles'. He was only looking for some break screws (sorry I'm not good with car's so can't remember the technical name, lol) for his car. He found some second hand one's but there were also some new break screws which he bought for a very reasonable price. According to my boyfriend, Holyhead Motor Spares was cheaper than most other motor spares shops he's been to and he found what he was looking for instead of having to shop around. From he's experience and from what I saw; I would recommend the place. The staff are pleasant and do help you find what you are looking for.

They even do personalised number plates whilst you wait! Although I'm not sure how long the wait is. The staff were helpful as they were very knowledgeable about all the products but they weren't necessarily friendly. The prices are good because some of the items were cheaper and better qualities than I've seen elsewhere. If you need any of the above parts for your car then it's worth giving this place a try.

I'd been in there for some electrical connectors and whilst they didn't stock the specific one, we chatted about other possibilities, try-this-try-that, and said if I had any problems I was welcome to bring it back for a refund. No quibbles about open boxes or anything like that. I like places like this in comparison to Halfords, for example. The only problem is it's usually easier to park at a Halfords -- but you end up paying for the privilege one way or another, don't you? Places like this are starting to become obsolete so hopefully this one won't follow the same way.

They sell bikes, accessories and clothes and will also order parts in for you if you need it. The mechanics are friendly and knowledgeable and will chat about your stuff if they have the time to do so. I had my bike serviced there as it was a bit lumpy, and the guy doing the work phoned me up and said "it's a lot better than it used to be; I've balanced the carbs and I'm fairly sure I can get some more performance out of it if you have the time, I've spent a lot of time on these so know I can get a bit more well out of it..." -- lovely to hear that they have a ton of experience of your machine when they're working on it. If you're looking for somewhere friendly and trustworthy to take your pride and joy to be given the once-over by a professional, you can't go wrong here. About £150 for an annual service and about £30 for a MoT.

I purchased the seal at a cost of £8.82 and from start to finish including removing and replacing the under tray it took me 20 minutes to fit. How can a garage justify these costs? Update on my review - Listers VW Nuneaton called regarding my review and explained that I was given the wrong price for the intercooler seal fitment and credit to them they did apologise and offered my a reduced price MOT and a courtesy car as I need to drop off the night before my booking. Although this mistake should never have happened an apology does go a long way to restore some faith in the motor trade. So for that alone I have decided to increase my star rating from 1 to 3.

I am very particular about my cars and I wanted a very specific model colour and specification. The car was a VW Polo GTi I ordered the new car and was given a build date and I could monitor the progress of the build, on line. I wanted the car to be delivered for the new registration but also wanted to avoid the changes in car tax as from April. The agreed price for the car was more than competitive and Listers also arranged for a cherished number transfer. All of the details, specifications were spot on in terms of the car and the service provided. The Car was delivered ahead of schedule and was delivered in a covered lorry to my home address. The handover was amazing and the car was just perfect, I cannot praise the service any higher than I would use Listers again. John Donnellan

I have an old seventies racer which I picked up for a snip on Ebay so there's a limit to the extent I would go to regarding spending on it because it has seen better days and use it for commuting to and from work and it was all but doomed when the pedal crank was falling off but Pete fixed it on the spot and dead cheap too.
