The shop is very handy to those living in the Heybridge community but remains a little hidden to those passing through the village. It is primarily a Newsagent but stocks many basic food items and is very handy if you just need a pint of milk. If regulars request something the owners will endeavour to get it within a few days. The prices of goods are more expensive than supermarkets but not terribly over priced. A handy little newsagent if you are in the area by a lovely couple.

The post office always has a huge queue and you can wait for some time to get served. The store itself stocks a good range of books, craft, stationary, computer supplies, magazines and has a small snack/drink section on the ground floor. Also don't attempt to go there with a pushchair or if you are big, especially in the magazine area. There are always queues at the till and staff is incredibly slow (especially with card payments) even when the queue is huge (and that doesn't stop them to try to sell you their short-dated chocolates, or tell you about offers etc.). I don't bother anymore and get my magazines in Asda, for books I go on Amazon.

You can also buy stationary and packaging to post things. You can usually pick up great deals, especially on chocolate bars, and other little bits. A great thing about this store is the Post Office which is on site. It's big and has over 8 counters. All staff in the shop are really friendly and helpful and always happy to help you locate what you're after. Shop is open around 8 and closes around 5.30.
