Today I had a scheduled appointment at "J Byrd Automotive". I've had one prior experience with him. My sister locked her keys in her car. His shop is less than a mile from my house. We called him , he said he would be here within 30 min. About an hour and a half later he shows up. Non apologetic but giving playful backhanded bater, which I was returning. All was good. He didn't charge us but we tipped him and went on our way. Today I had an appt with him at 8:00. I was there on time. There was nobody in the office when I got there so I waited. He finally walked in, no greeting, no smile. I asked if he remembered me and he said no. I told him who my other sister was as she recommended him to me and says she's never had any issue with him. When I told him who my sister was he said "ok". I told him I had an appt with him at 8:00 this morning and he responded "ok" I asked him what I needed to do if I needed to leave my keys or what and he responded "well if that's the attitude you're going to have you can go on and leave" Already feeling uncomfortable in an unfamiliar place doing unfamiliar things and to have the business owner speak to me like trash. As a woman, I would never recommend other women or anybody in general using this shop. He kept telling me he was the owner and could do what he wanted. These are NOT the kind of people we need to be supporting and giving our business to.

These guys promised progressive to meet their one hour standards. I called them after half an hour and found out the tow truck was still over an hour out. After an hour I get a call from the driver. he wanted a text of the address I was at. He then told me what town he was leaving, which was quite a ways from me. He's says another 45 minutes. I called him after 50 minutes he tries to joke with me and it was another forty minutes away. I almost hung up on him right there. The driver hit me up to buy him a bottle of water when he got there for a ride back after dropping the vehicle. He also was driving while watching videos on his phone. I realize they were not the only tow company involved in this, but the whole fiasco was 4.5 hours. They were to blame for over 3 of those hours. I Called Reynolds tire this morning looking for a used 14" tire because when I was taking my car to…read moreget an alignment I got a big hole in my tire and can't get it aligned with a flat tire. The tech I talked to asked me how far I had to travel and I said not far, just temporary til I get alignment and some new tires. He then explained that he had one that was in pretty bad shape, bald, dryrotted etc. I asked him whAt he would let me have it for and he said "$25"! Well, I told him he was hitting me pretty hard for a barely usable tire, and he said, and I quote, "well it's better than walking"! I couldn't believe that first, he would try to price gouge a person just because he thought they were in a bad way and second, that he would be so arrogant as to rub it in by saying such a crappy statement! I just laughed and told him goodbye. I am not walking...I have 4 other cars I can drive, ALL of which have to have tires and tire maintenance on a regular basis. So for your information, Mr arrogant ripoff tire tech, I will NEVER take any of my vehicles to Reynolds tire for ANY reason. I do not do business with people like you, and I will not only NEVER use your business, I will tell everyone I know that needs tire service to NEVER use you, and they will repeat this and so on and so forth... I am not a complainer normally. But I treat people the way I want to be treated and believe the principal that if people will try to kick you while they think you are down then they will try to screw you at every opportunity, and that is NOT a trait I look for in someone entrusted to diagnosing and maintaining my vehicle!!
