This is every Halloween store tho..not just this one. This one has the disadvantage of being in kind of a crappy run down plaza so it makes it seem worse and more run down in there than it really is. The staff here were really nice tho..trying to help the best they could to help with whatever they had left. I feel bad that they'll all be unemployed in a week, but, that's the nature of the business i guess.

Things are very picked over and not restocked. Checkout was slow. The girls were not grateful to have a job. I do not think they like their job. My visit was December 5th at 4pm till about 4:45pm. There was no clearance. I did not see any Hallmark DVD Christmas movies. I spent $67.90 Most likely I will not be back to this store. The cashier did not say thank you, Merry Christmas, come back or have a nice day. How's that for ungrateful?

This FYE location is probably one of the better ones in the area, but that's not saying too too…read moremuch. They seem to have a slightly better selection of music than usual, but I have noticed that the section has been shrinking in recent visits. I have the same issue with the pressures to join clubs and sign up for things at checkout here that I do with other locations (I won't go on my rant again, if you want to hear it refer to my previous FYE reviews). That will always be my biggest problem with any of these stores. In the off chance I don't get the harassment at checkout I take note and really appreciate it. Seeing the direction these stores have been taking lately I can't see them being around too much longer, especially the locations in the more dying malls (like this one in Tri County). In the meantime I'll continue to attempt to patronize them..and regardless of my issues I'm sure I will really miss them when they are gone.

Since they were in the mall, they were expensive. You expect stores in malls to pay extra for rent, etc., correct? I was amused by the "100% used guarantee" stickers on the DVDs and CDs traded. That's easy to guarantee that they were used. I suggested that they change the stickers to "Used, with 100% guarantee" but that still didn't make the point. I guess blank stares are what people on minimum wage do best in Florida. I saw a lot of them. Okay, so you're making your own right at this moment? Yay! I'm consistent. FYE, in my experience, runs great manager's special sales. When things aren't moving, they drop the price drastically, and you should buy it then, and don't look back. My first time at this location, they had some 3D movies for $19.99, which was about $20 cheaper than FYE, Best Buy, or even Walmart. You generally have to shop there regularly to spot those deals. Employees at this location are sometimes incredibly friendly and other times, very quiet. Does Tri-County Mall do that to a lot of employees? I see that across stores.

Turns out they didn't have what I needed, but I've never felt more welcomed... by a store that I didn't actually end up buying anything from... haha. They're the good kind of folks that you find yourself thinking, "I want to be friends with them..." Then you think that's a rather creepy thought to have, only having just met them, and pass it off by pretending to look at some ps4 games for a good 45 seconds before taking your leave. And the values are extreme, alright...so much so that I have often found myself here looking for a cheap item or two. Accessibility: I've seen better but I have also seen worse. If the buttons on the door don't work, it can be a pain to get in or out. Do bear that in mind, and if you use a wheelchair, make sure your foot doesn't catch any displays. Aisles could stand to be a tad wider in spots. Price: Well...it's Big Lots. They have some nice deals, some of which on things I have NEVER seen at Remke-Biggs across the street (Larry the Cable Guy branded seasonings, anyone?), but also some standard brands you'll find in other stores. Nice. Experience: I've not run into any flat out unfriendly employees, but at times have had the vibe that some don't really want to be there, they just are to pay the bills. Maybe that's me catching an employee or two on a bad day. Finding things I want can be a hassle, but once I've got them, I get through fairly quickly. Overall, Big Lots gets a 3/5 from me. Maybe the next time the store gets a makeover, whenever that is, make the aisles wider and make the front doors truly automatic, and this will get a better rating.
