I went here as a walk in today to get a full set of gel acrylics. Nhu was my nail tech and she was great. She was extremely gentle, and she did an amazing job. She looked over each nail several times to ensure they were perfect. Each nail is completely uniforms and smooth. Not to mention I continuously messed up my nails throughout the process (cause I'm clumsy ) and every time she fixed it gladly. Please be alerted! I received nail fungus from this salon. I was a repeat customer when the salon went under new management and, at first, I was very happy with the new changes including new furniture and equipment. After my last fill for poly-gel nails, my fingernails hurt and started lifting. I have gone to nail salons for 20+ years and I had never had this happen and was very concerned. I went back to the owner for help and to have the poly-gel removed to see what the issue was. I was devastated to see that EVERY nail had fungus. The owner denied it and said "this kind of thing happens when you reach a certain age." ???????? I was further charged for everything and left the salon in tears. I have since been to the dermatologist and have been prescribed Jublia (for nail fungus) at $65 per month and have to treat my nails for at least 8 months. I was not a big fan of Halo Nails when I went in April. It was busy when I arrived and we waited a bit for service, which was fine. However, my nail tech rushed my gel nails so much and it was incredibly overpriced (nearly $50 for a basic gel manicure that he spent about 10 minutes tops on). I ended up having to file my own nails at home after because he left my nails rough at the edges after filing and just painted them as they were instead of buffing them out. They charged me $90 for an acrylic manicure. I'm pretty sure they just make prices up because there was no menu or price board and my friend had gone there the day before and got a much different price for the same thing. I would ask one girl what something cost and then another girl would yell and her and correct her to a higher price. I am extremely disappointed. I have been going back to this salon for almost 2 years now, and I used to be in love with it. You used to be able to request who did your nails, and you would get seated on time and that exact person would do your nails, and let me tell you... Quinntin did an amazing job every time. Price was always a little more than the local mall, but I thought it was worth it because I had a good relationship with my artist and they did an amazing job. However, it's recently gone downhill. They do not care who you request, you get your nails done by whoever greets you have a door. The shape and size never consistent because the person who did your nails the last filling is not the same person who did it this time. They rush you through and the nail polish is sloppy. I just went back, random artist (older guy, table in back, I think his name started with an M) sat me down. I was getting a fresh set, asked for a couple squiggles on my nails and he told me it was going to be $100. I politely acknowledge that my nails have never been close to $100 and I've been coming here for a while, but he insisted that I pay $100. So I changed my mind and politely asked for my nails to be completed with one color all over, and I will pay the standard price instead of the design. The artist then got mad and told me to change to another girls table (I believe her name was Lily). I was confused but he just waved me away and didn't say anything. I went to sit down and the girls table and she told me that she would give me $10 off and she would do my squiggle design for $90. Which I still politely declined and said that I would just do the standard acrylics with one color. She completed my nails, however she literally said not a single word to me the whole time, just kept pointing and gesturing for me to move my hands around. The nail shape was done beautiful, but obviously not what I imagined I was coming in for. While she was putting oil on my hands she made the comment "maybe next time you can afford the design", and then laughed about it. I have been loyal to the salon for a long time now, but I do believe my next filling will be done somewhere else. I tried Halo because Anthony Vince seemed expensive but AV is about the same or less for much better quality. Got acrylics and they are super thick and polish is spotty. I went here for a self are day today but I came away somewhat dissatisfied. I paid 50 dollars for their deluxe pedicure which was amazing and totally worth it- massage, scrub, hot stone the works. However they charged me about 65 dollars for acrylic nails which are less than stellar. First it had noticeable dents in an uneven surface and the stilletto shape I asked for was not uniform. They didn't remove old color and glue from my previous manicure so it bled into the new manicure. The manicurist seemed like a nice person but really didn't take much care and the ombre is more white than any other color when it should be the other way around. They also didn't start the acrylic from the cuticle so it looks like a week or two old. Suffice it to say. I may go back for the pedicure but may stick to glue on nails for manicure rather than an expensive do I regret. read more

I dropped my wife there. for some reason there was a misunderstanding in what she was getting ,on my behalf, the owner was very rude in the way he handle everything he made it seem like he or his workers could not be wrong. when I thought costumer service was to make the client happy, all they was worried about was their money. They didn't care that my wife didn't get what she ask for, plus their prices are crazy high any time your in an establishment and they don't care to your correct a problem for you and keep you happy as a customer they are only worried about money which is what they care about there ,they ended charging me $89.00 for a full manicure and pedicure ,like for real!!!! I went here about two weeks ago. I had gel nail polish on when coming in and wanted a gel manicure to update my old polish. Not only did my nail tech say maybe 3 words to me, but he ground my nails down so thin that all of them broke within days. I ended up shortening my nails on my own, cutting the 2 nails that surprisingly didn't break, and filing them to be even. I thought doing this would make my nails chip easier however my next problem wasn't from the top but actually happened when my nail polish started lifting from the bottom. This all occurred within a week of getting my nails done here. I am so beyond disappointed that my strong healthy nails were destroyed by this establishment and that the polish didn't even stay well either. I payed $40 for absolute trash. First off I'd like to say that everyone in this salon is extremely kind, but their service is not worth the money. I'm not one to comeplain and write reviews but I am very unsatisfied. My friend and I made appointments at 2:30 and were not seated until 3. I asked the gentleman that was doing my nails if he knew how to do the coffin shape I showed him in the picture, and he said YES. A hour and a half goes by and this man is still trying to shape my nails (I got a fullset). One hand is completely crooked and on top of that he cut my fingers twice. Finally he brings someone else over to help fix the shape and he did he good job but they just didn't match my other hand. By this time it's 4pm and he's finally starting to paint my nails....the paint job was extremely sloppy and I didn't want to waste anymore time in that salon because I had been there since 2:30!!! I contacted the salon and they let me come in so someone else could fix my nails...and guess what. I waited for 45 minutes to be seated after I set another appointment. I asked for short coffin nails and I came out with medium sized rectangles. This appointment also lasted 2 HOURS. I am generally a very patient person but 2 hours is very uncalled for. I came here for an acrylic fill. They used dirty tools (the drill bits and files had white residue from other people's nails and when i saw that i knew i was never coming back). The coffin shape was alright, but the actual acrylic was way too thin and one of the nails broke 2 days after i got them. 3 of the nails cracked but didn't break off after a week as well. I actually had to take all the nails so i could get a brand new set at a different salon because the acrylic was so damaged. i definitely wouldn't recommend here for acrylics. read more

I've been here a few times. The color selection is weak for lighter and/or sheer colors (almost non-existent) and what is available is old and thick. The manicure I got yesterday has already started chipping. And for the $22 (with tip) I paid, it makes it particularly disappointing. I don't think I can go back here again and as one of the few nail salons in Kent, this makes me very sad. Owners, please suck it up and replace the nail polishes on a more frequent basis, get more light colors and lower your prices! $18 for an ordinary manicure is way too expensive. read more
