As a small business owner myself, I know what it takes to make a dream a reality. I can tell that the young owners of this business truly care about their customers and they go out of their way to make sure we, customers, have the best karting experience. The karts are well kept and the track is too. The staff is amazing, from the nice girls in the front, to the helpful boys on the track. It's placement in an old war hanger is super cool too. Next time i find myself in the uk again, I will be back.

If you havenm't - basically you rock up to the site, are given a space-age helmet and cammo coveralls to wear, and a gun that's filled with biodegradeable 'paintballs'. You're divided into two teams, and you tromp off into the woods after the instructors brief you on safety - and the rules of the game. Then all hell breaks loose as each team tries to 'shoot' the other team member whilst staying un-shot themselves. If you find yourself splatted then you're out of the game. But all games run only about 15-20 minutes, so you won't be down and out for long! Paintball Warminster was where I took Junior and his friends for his birthday last year (perfect for teenage boys!) and I got an immense number of 'Cool Mum' brownie points! The folks there are very helpful and professional, and really went the extra mile to make the birthday great. There's a lovely covered waiting area, where you can sit and read or just veg out in the sunny woodland atmosphere (no danger of flying paintballs as the 'civilian area' is protected by a huge fence/netting.) There's rea and coffee and cold drinks and nibbles available throughout, at the kiosk - and flushing toilets just around the corner. The meals are hearty and filling - inclusive in the price of some deals, and just the thing to tuck into after racing around for several hours. Thee time passes very quickly indeed, and it's glorious fun! Be sure to take anough money to purchase extra paintballs though, because no matter how many you think you'll need, you always need more! Totally reccomend this place, for friends having a wacky day out, or a birthday with a difference. The site also does go-karting (which we've also tried!) and has lazer-quest soon to be added to it's list of attractions. I can keep junior happy on birthday outings forever here!!

I rang and spoke to Tracey - she was clear, helpful and not at all dismissive as I thought she might be as we were getting it 'on the cheap'! We arrived early, having been given clear directions, and saw a busy little army of orange tops getting the place ready. The place opened on time, the staff were very efficient and friendly. The equipment and clothes were in good condition and the overalls particularly were worn but immaculately laundered and pressed - clearly getting dressed in the gear is a major part of the fun ... The marshals were clear and set the right tone/balance between safety and fun. The group for the day was made up of 3 parties I believe: ourselves, a small group of boys, and a large mixed group that I assume were sixth formers. For me these people made all the difference - they were a thoroughly good bunch - for what anyone says they were a great deal better behaved and well-adjusted than we would have been as teenagers! The lunch was freshly made, and appropriate for the day that was in it. I can see that skirmish is a business and that a large part of the money is made on the sale of paintballs - frankly that is fair enough, and I can see that taking a party of kids can rack up the cost (as I am sure I will find out), but there is nothing underhand in this, and I am sure that with good planning and preaching to 'preserve your ammo' will keep the cost down, but people go to run around and splat paint, and that is worth paying a few pounds for - much better than Call of Duty. Dont even get me started on the toilets!!! although things seem to have improved on the briefing front reading the other review we did get a full briefing and they were out with flags.

There are two levels of car driving available - a modern go-kart racing track for juniors and adults, and a more serious off road driving course only available for people holding full driving licenses. One of those things which is great for an expensive birthday / Christmas present or simply a treat of your really into cars and driving. There's a junior Birthday package available for an hour and a half of fun for up to 10 little drivers, it costs £350 so isn't cheap but promises to be an exciting experience all round.

Traveled to Avonmouth Teamsport with a friend and was greeted by Claire at the front desk. We…read moreentered the 3-4-2 event and met Joe who was the host for the evening. Claire signed us both in then provided us both with a helmet. At the track side pit area we met two marshalls, Amy and Cassie who would be marshaling the race, waving the flags and keeping us all safe. Joe ran us through the format for the evening's event. Next we jumped into the karts after Cassie gave us our kart number and Amy checked our helmet straps were correctly tightened. The staff are all really great and because I needed a seat liner for my seat Conner was able to find another from his stash. We did a mandatory brake test in front of Joe as he waved us out of the pits. This track has plenty of corners, straights and a challenging chicane. Whether you like drifting or driving like Lewis Hamilton this massive 800 metre track is a must for adrenaline racers, with fantastic staff and well maintained karts thanks to Conner.
