When it wouldn't read the first time she had me hold my other arm in the air to check it. For anyone not in healthcare this is not a proper way to check it and skews the reading. Big shocker my blood pressure came back high but they didn't bother to recheck it properly. I then waited over a hour to see Dr. Johnson. When she came in she said oh you're here for abnormal bleeding well you've gained weight and this birth control is known to fail (1. I might have gained weight since my previous visit but my weight has been stable well before my gynecological concern started 2. I have been on this birth control for 9 years without issues). She did not ask any history regarding how long, quantity, associated symptoms etc. She also did not preform any type of exam. She then proceeded to list my options were to continue to suffer or try a new birth control and listed all the birth control options and was upset when I didn't immediately choose one. I totally understand now why people don't like doctors and why people think women's health doesn't get enough attention and it's because the women's health doctors don't care. Not to mention she previously hadn't followed the American College of Obstetricians guidelines for cervical cancer screening with Pap smears (likely so she can charge more for each visit). Now let me add a…read morecaveat to this review...I have never met Dr Lee until the day of my appointment so I don't know if her demeanor during my appointment was normal or she was just having a bad day or it was the fact that her MA knew less about GYN issues than most men (it was apparently the MA's very first day at MMWC) but Dr Lee had decided before she even walked in the room what my issue is (I heard her in the hallway talking to the MA and asking the MA several questions that she didn't ask me). Due to the MA's newness she ran through the questions and didn't ask for explanation "because there were so many questions" and she apparently didn't have time to ask all the questions or get explanations for the answers and those questions that the MA did ask gave Dr Lee a very skewed idea of my issue and because of that she decided that my issue was due to a back problem even though during my exam and subsequent ultrasound I about jumped off the table due to the pain. When Dr Lee did ask me questions as soon as she heard the beginning of the answer, she cut me off and didn't listen to the explanation. I do have to say that the front desk staff was great and I was seen only minutes after my scheduled appointment. I was able to get in quickly when I called to make my appointment.
