The actual emporium itself is delightful, full of little corners packed with a wonderful mix of vintage and modern bits and pieces. One could spend hours in there and find something missed the first time around - it's a real Aladdin's cave of gorgeousness.
The ladies who help are kind and gentle, however sadly this cannot be said for the woman who sits behind the counter. After three visits I have decided not to go back again, as being treated with disdain, contempt and suspicion is definitely NOT my idea of a day out. This person was offensive to my friend and half an hour later the same to me. In a world of fierce competition and after 40 years experience with an international Airline, I know what good customer services is.
If this beautiful little place belongs to her, maybe she relies on passing tourism trade. If she manages it for somebody, she should move on and make room for a kind person who actually wants to be in that seat.
