Maybe they didn't finish cleaning the glass? Left a bad taste in more ways than one -SO noisy, can hear all the cars/trucks/honking etc. also if anyone is outside the door in the hallways you can hear everything from voices to loud slamming doors etc. was not relaxing when trying to relax! (Or put baby down for a nap) Overall beautiful hotel but would prob stay somewhere else next time we are here.

It is within walking distance of the zocalo, parian and downtown puebla (cathedral, portales, fuertes) the location is GREAT! I strongly recommend this place you will not be let down!

Upon check out, there was no valet to get our car and the receptionist gave an attitude when we didn't bring the remote controls from our rooms as collateral. I ran late for my meeting because check out took so long while the receptionist gave us attitude as though we were inconveniencing her. Sadly, this is probably the best hotel option in downtown, Tlaxcala but next time I'll take my chances on an Airbnb.

I was between giving this a 4 and a 5 because it wasn't perfect, but frankly the staff was EXCELLENT so I decided to round up. The pros: 1) Seriously one of the best hotel staffs I've experienced. They were extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We actually got put in a room with an odd sulfur smell first and they moved us immediately and apologized profusely. We had no issues after. They were really prompt at getting our car from the valet, too. 2) Fantastic breakfast buffet, and to add to the excellent staff service, we were uncomfortable eating in the dining room because of Covid and it was quite full, and they served us at the pool where no one else was and it was airy. Really awesome. The food was delicious, especially the tamal and the cannelloni. 3) Every inch of the hotel is beautiful, from the lobby to the dining room to the side rooms to the pool to the outdoors spaces. Cons: 1) The beds are quite hard. If you need a soft bed, this spot isn't for you. I wasn't nuts about the bed but tbh everywhere I've stayed in Mexico has had a hard bed so idk if there's much I can do about that. 2) There were no hangers in our room. We didn't bother asking for them but honestly it's plausible someone stole them because unfortunately people do that. Check in with them on that if you don't have any in your room. 3) The wifi is TERRIBLE. Truly awful. Don't expect to be able to work here if that's what you're trying to do. It disconnects every ten min or so and barely works. I know these cons should bring this to a 4.... But I can't. The staff was amazing and made up for it.

Also note that they do not have a refrigerator. So you'll have to cool your drinks some other way if you want to. My only real complaint is the design of the lobby. In order to get to the lobby you have to take an elevator to get there. After that you take an elevator to get to your room. This poses a traffic problem as there are only 2 elevators and sometimes the wait can be very long! I decided to climb the stairs from the lobby to my room on the 6th floor and it was not fun. Still a good and clean hotel nonetheless :)

We we had an evening meal here after going on a Puebla food tour in the afternoon. I only mention…read morethat because we were pretty full before we even sat down to eat. Things we liked: the sommelier was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He let me taste two different wines and I get to choose my favorite. He even helped us get a ride home. The food was generally quite good. We ordered four different items, including a beef ceviche, fried parsley, crema Poblana soup and mole poblano with chicken. My favorite of these was the crema poblano soup. All items were all nicely prepared. The servings were quite generous. Despite several complaints we read on Yelp about the prices, we thought they were pretty reasonable compared to what we would pay in the USA. Things we didn't like: there was some construction going on, apparently to prepare for Valentine's Day. There were some poorly behaved children running through the restaurant. There were large groups of waiters standing around talking to each other. The restaurant wasn't very crowded on this Wednesday night. Overall, it's a good restaurant with a few flaws on our one visit.

Thanks to booking I was able to add this business to Yelp tonight to help others. The was delicious then we had burgers towards the end of block. Bed are completely clean and comfortable. Highly recommend
