Stayed there for a week for work . For being where it's located , my hopes weren't very high, but it was great . The hardest part was finding it , the sign is tiny and blocked by a bush till your right on top of it and it's located way back behind another building . They need a better sign . The room was spacious and my favorite part was the comfy couch , it's long enough to lay on and take a nap . Breakfast was included, it was minimal , meat, eggs of some sort , potato's , and my favorite waffle maker , and assorted cereals, yogurt, fruit . Made reservations weeks/months in advance and we arrive as schedule, check in was fast and easy and given keys to our rooms(2). After entering our room we received a text from our Son regarding the mattress in their room being stained up(they check for bed bugs) stains looked like urine stains so we checked our mattress and found stains on both sides, also our trash hadn't been emptied from previous guest. Went down to front desk and was told there was no guarantee other beds weren't different and that they were sold out for that night anyway, plus she also told us that's what mattress protectors/pads were for. Told her we had no intention to sleep on it and canceled reservation which she did. Have only been refunded for incidentals so far will fight other charges if needed. Girl at front desk was rather unapologetic over this. Fortunately we were able to find another Hotel with vacancies that was much nicer and pool that was open. read more

I have been a Diamond Member for 15 years. I stayed at this property for the last two weeks due to my ailing mother-in-law. Yesterday, I booked another room for two days using points and cash. Sadly, my mother-in-law passed last night, and I tried to cancel my reservation for today. The front desk employee was extremely unprofessional. She refused to listen and wouldn't refund me. She also suggested I should have reserved only one day because my mother-in-law was near death. I was very upset but managed to control myself. As a Diamond Member, I contacted corporate, and they ensured I received a full refund. I hope this employee never experiences what we went through. My family and I stayed here for 14 days, spending thousands of dollars, and I will definitely never stay here again. read more

Stayed here for two nights while in the area for a game convention. This was my first stay here and really left me disappointed given the Hilton standards I am used to. We checked in on a Friday night - utilizing the app but scooping a couple physical keys for the boys. On the front desk were cookies so we loaded up to keep the momentum up. The room - despite it being an ADA accessible room was very tight quarters. Not sure how that's ADA-complaint. We had a two bed room. With four of us- we asked for a cot to spread out. We were told that bc it was a two bed room they don't do that. That is a lie. They do that bc I have done it before. Strike one. The overall layout of the hotel was good - seemed clean etc. The room - other than being tiny for four big dogs was nice. However - the TV was a YouTube TV. Seems like a good deal unless you want to find a channel that isn't on there - or if you want to watch ball sports. Then comes the elevator - one was out. Or was out of order which they marked off with a luggage cart and signage. So we waited 5 minutes and only the out of order one would come to our floor - so we used the stairs. Working a 10hr day and having to run stairs isn't an experience I'd like to encounter. Strike two. And we come to my favorite part of a Hampton Inn stay: Breakfast. Saturday morning we had to be out super early so we hit a Dunkin drive thru, but Sunday AM the boys came downstairs. And the trainwreck ensued. First - they had omelettes first when I came down earlier - then when we all came down there was one omelette and a 1/10 pan of powder eggs. The sausages were over cooked but cold - and NOTHING was refilled. I had to ask for them to refill syrup, the breads and muffins were out - and the Apple juice crapped out. Place was a mess. Tables weren't cleaned. Awful. Strike 3. Three strikes means 3 stars. read more

One of the nicest Hampton's I have ever stayed at! The girl working the front desk was so welcoming and was able to get us a room even without a prior reservation. She was very helpful with food options in the area and also helped to fix our thermostat when the batteries died and needed replacement . The hotel was very clean and beautifully decorated for fall. The room was huge and very clean. The only reason for taking away 1 star is the thin walls and the fact we had to listen to the guy next door coughing and gagging non stop ALL NIGHT LONG! If they have a way to add insulation, this hotel would be perfect! read more

I forget the gentleman's name who was working on a Sunday in the early morning a few months ago. I entered the lobby with my service dog, and he not only tolerated us; He welcomed us. He brought my life-saving dog a Hampton-branded toy and organic treats and offered to bring him water. The emppyee was also super professional with someone there to check on the plumbing as well as other guests. I just wanted to say what an asset the front desk attendant is to your company! We stayed 3 days here. 2 days after arrival the maid Darlin serviced our room. She made the bed, took the dirty towels and bath matt. Also took the trash out. She left no coffee to replace what we used, no cups, no trash bag in the trash can, no towels and no bath matt. My husband had to go down and get all of tbe above. When I mentioned this to the front desk attendant, Devon Mullen upon leaving she was rude and said their staff never gets complaints and I should not make assumptions. It is not an assumption, it's a fact. I have worked with the public my entire life, am 73 years old. She should jave smiled and said thank you for staying with us. Instead she was rude and condescending. Ther are many nice hotel choices in and near Syracuse. This is not one of them. I was going to leave a 3 star review forgiving the cleaning lady until I encounted Devon at the front desk. So very rude. She was the topping on this horrible place!! read more

When I visited there was a very light dusting of snow and the color of this hotel was actually beautiful. Check out my picture because I've. Ever seen a Hampton Inn punted like this. I searched Expedia putting in the search parameters, closest to the airport. Our flights were canceled late at night and we had already turned in our rental car. This hotel came up and I made a reservation. Via another Expedia search I requested a transport van from the closest Hampton Inn. When I arrived at that hotel they explained that I had no reservation, the reservation was at the Hampton Inn Dewitt which is across town. I called the Hampton Inn Dewitt to cancel, explaining my flights had been canceled and I needed airport transport for the next morning and they do not provide that service and that instead I was staying at the Hampton Inn nearest the airport where they do provide transportation. They refused to cancel my reservation, saying I had to deal with Expedia. I've been unable to get a response from Expedia. I was charged for a room I never used at this hotel. Never again will I use Expedia or deal with Hampton Inns. I paid two different Hampton Inns in Syracuse but never checked into the Dewitt location. read more

Hampton Inn is our first choice if we are looking for a hotel. This one did not disappoint at all. Spacious room, great bed, microwave, small refrigerator. Just fine. The hotel is right of one of the highways around the city. We saw it from the highway, but then missed the turn into their parking lot. Too many restaurant signs along the road and the Hampton sign was kinda small. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and checking in was speedy. Many Hamptons have cookies and coffee in the lobby. We could smell the fresh cookies when we walked in, but had to wait a little before they came out. The breakfast (included) was nice, nothing fancy but more than enough choices. read more

This is a very nice Hampton. It has a large entryway area where there is always coffee and hot water. In the late afternoons, freshly baked cookies are brought out. Being Hilton Honor members, we were upgraded to a "suite". There is a room divider between the bed area and a couch, plus a mini kitchen area with a microwave and fridge. The Hampton Inns serve a nice complimentary breakfast. In this Hampton, the breakfast area is quite large and comfortable. The fare is pretty much the same as other Hamptons: eggs, either hot or hard boiled, bacon or sausage, an assortment if cold cereals and warm oatmeal, waffles, rolls, bagels and bread, juices, coffee, tea and cocoa. I think Hampton Inns in general are the best of the reasonably priced chain hotels. This one was very nice and conveniently located for our plans. read more

Based on others' positive reviews I booked a night here before a flight out of Syracuse the next day. To say I was beyond disappointed would be an understatement. I knew from the moment I walked in the room was not clean. It was clear the floors had not been vacuumed, there was dust everywhere, and the toilet seat was dirty. Pete, at the front desk, was super apologetic (the way he handled the situation was really great and the only reason I gave three stars instead of two) and offered me a new room and additional Hilton reward points. Pete was very thoughtful and placed me in a room right across the hall so I wouldn't have to go too far with all of my things. Unfortunately the second room suffered from the same lack of cleanliness. The floors were clearly not vacuumed, it was dusty on every surface, one of the beds didn't have a top sheet, and there were other people's hair in the bathroom and in the sheets Again, Pete was outstanding in his customer service and seemed genuinely upset about my experience. He nicely offered me a voucher for a free night stay. The hotel itself seems fairly new and has so much potential, but they must address the housekeeping issue. I would never come back unless and until I was assured a much cleaner room. This was a very uncomfortable stay. read more

Stayed here for a week on a work trip. The guys who run the front desk are pretty friendly and accommodating. When I checked in, I had asked for the lady to input my rewards number into my stay but had a feeling she didn't since she also appeared to be a member of the cleaning crew. This was later rectified. My room had a peculiar smell but I think it's the area since it's surrounded by swap and geese. There was a mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine, and your basic toiletries ( shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, and mouthwash). They don't give you anything else and would have to ask the front desk for things like shower caps. One day the housekeeping didn't even replenish the basic toiletries or change the towels/sheets. I didn't bother with having the room cleaned on a daily basis since they didn't do much. This hotel has a pool, hot tub and work out room. The work out room had your basic treadmill, weights, kettlebells and medicine balls but the weights were low. The breakfast in the morning usually included cold/wet bread, cereal, waffle maker, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, and fruit. They do offer to go brown bags which was nice if you're in a rush and don't have time to sit down. Inside is a bottle of water, pastry, granola bar, and fruit. Overall a very basic hotel. read more

Had to call the main line and switch reservations to this one as a closer location to where we were, and it worked out very well, especially since this location had two queens for us instead of just two full. Michael, the friendly night guy, was very helpful providing bottled water for our son and promptly refilling hot water and hot chocolate for me! Breakfast was great. The beautiful lady adorned in gold running things dropped off cold water bottles at our table and kept things at the buffet nicely topped up. The variety was impressive! Room size was good. Only drawback was that our bathtub didn't drain nicely and kind of backed up a bit. read more

Overall a great place. I arrived after being stuck in a car for 10 hours and I arrived to the hotel and was greeted by some of nicest people i have ever met. The room service was great and the rooms were clean and very comfortable. A great thing you must check out is the free breakfast, it was a very diverse breakfast with many types of juices, waffles and cereals. The hotel was great except for the pool, went there to just sit and relax but the water was very murky and dirty. Other than the pool, I would recommend anyone that needs a great cheap place to stay, to come here. read more

This Hampton Inn is FANTASTIC!! First of all, the entire facility is SMOKE FREE. There's a star right there. Next, the facility appears to be brand new (or close to it), and the rooms are AMAZING. Of course, the typical great beds, but the rooms (at least the one I have) have a fantastic desk and workcenter, which separates the bed area and the couch/coffee table. The lobby is also quite upscale for a Hampton. This is the nicest Hampton that I've ever been to. It really is much more like a Hilton Garden Inn or a Doubletree. Seriously. Yippee!!! read more

We stayed overnight while passing through Syracuse and I have to say that we were very impressed with our experience. Will definitely be staying again. Pros: -Staff were amazing; everyone from the ladies at the front desk to the guy managing breakfast in the morning were cheerful, friendly and helpful. -Check-in and check-out were a breeze. There was no waiting. The entire process took about 5 minutes each time. -We were super impressed with the fact that the plug outlets had separate USB ports to charge our phones. I've never seen that at a hotel before! There were also outlets on the microwave. -Located right on Erie Blvd so there's lots of places to eat in the area less than a 10 min drive away. -Super comfortable bed -Everything was clean, neat and up to standard. Obviously a relatively new hotel. Cons -The hotel was a little hard to find initially. The address is Erie Blvd so we drove by a couple times trying to find the entrance. It's a little removed from the main street but the entrance is on Erie Blvd next to Chuck E. Cheese. -Breakfast buffet wasn't the best, but it's a continental breakfast so you can only expect so much. See!! As far as cons go, that's nothing! Stayed here while visiting family for Christmas. Expected another chain hotel but instead got a very personal experience. Jamie the breakfast attendant gave us a Christmas card, talked to us, and had the breakfast well organized and presented excellently. We have choices and will be back in March for our daughters Ordination. I will tell all family to stay here. One person welcome greeting and sincere interest can change a routine visit into a warm personal experience. We checked in late on Christmas night and that person also was friendly and warm. We passed the entrance of the hotel twice causing us to make two U-turns because of the small sign. Otherwise, GREAT hotel. Very Clean. Pool is kind of small, but it suffices for one night. It looks very modern. Working at another Hampton Inn, I tend to be very critical of other hotels and of cleanliness as I know the "secrets" of housekeeping. This hotel definitely passes and looks like the rooms are well taken care of. I would definitely stay here again. The Beds are VERY comfy!! read more

Very clean, so they get three stars just for that. Why dock some stars? Well, we thought the breakfast could have been better. Also the location isn't that great. As was stated in the other reviews, the sign was tiny (look for the Chuck E Cheese instead) and because it is offset from the main road (good for noise perhaps?) I didn't feel comfortable walking to restaurants that, in theory, really should have been walkable. The type of road it's on (not their fault but good to know) is annoying as you can't make any left turns, so be prepared for U-turns like crazy to get anywhere. read more

We stayed at the Syracuse Hampton Inn on our way to Maine. After the twelve hour drive from Chicago we were in need of much rest and relaxation. The front desk greeted us warmly welcoming us to the hot beverages and cookies, our rooms were fresh and clean, the beds crisp and inviting. Stayed here last weekend when I traveled up to join other Syracuse University alumnae for a mini-reunion. Last year I attempted to do the same thing and was do disgusted with another hotel in the area that I checked out and made the four-hour journey back to my home state. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the bright, clean lobby. The hallways were the same and the rooms were even better. This hotel is well-maintained, employ people who enjoy working there and who take their jobs seriously. If you are looking for a hotel in the carrier circle area, PICK THIS ONE. The complimentary breakfast was also great as was the overall price for the lodging. The hotel is about a 10-minute drive from Syracuse University. This is a beautiful nice brand new hotel. Do not stay at the Hampton inn on old collamer rd. Its a dump compared to this Hampton. This one is a little hard to find but after staying at the dumpy Collamer rd that is no problem. Plainly put - I spend over 150 nights a year on the road and this is one of the nicest $139 rooms you'll find period. read more
