Copied from her facebook post 2/14/2020 So this happened....I stayed at the Bestwestern Plus in Carrizo Springs, Tx last night due to having a training in this area. When I arrived, the two front desk people were talking about how cheap the owner is because he wants to recycle pretty much everything. They were putting stickers to reuse the card key holders. I tell them my company is tax exempt and they claim they don't do that. I told them all the hotels we stay at honor it. He then says they don't have the forms. Fine, I'll print one out. Anyway, I'm in bed....working on my laptop when I start scratching my arm. Then my other arm. My ankles start itching. I now have welts where I was bit. I get up and inspect the bed.....& I see bedbugs!!! I took pics of the bugs and my arms and feet. My arm even swelled up. I call the office and they move me downstairs at midnight. Mind you, I have to be up early for a class that I'm teaching. They said they were going to move everyone on that floor to ensure no one is affected. Apparently, they were never moved because I could hear people up stairs. Poor people. The new room I'm in has stains on the bed and the bed stand was filthy. I couldn't sleep so I went to stay in my company vehicle but it was too cold so that didn't last long. I went back to my room and slept sitting up on the chair at the desk. In the morning the front desk person tells me he can't check me out because he has to wait for management to see how they want to handle the situation and that they would call me later during the day. Zack, the supervisor, calls me and says he's sorry and instead of a 10% discount, the company gets 15%. I tell him to take it up with my company because they are the ones paying for my room. I have my supervisor call him and he tells her there was nothing in the room. I have the pics! He then says he can do a 50% discount. It just had me thinking, if Zack the supervisor is as cheap as his employees say, I'm sure they don't take their time to clean the rooms properly. I couldn't even eat there, I just wanted to leave. Never again will I stay at the Bestwestern Plus in Carrizo, Tx. I attached a few pics of the bedbugs and the bites on my arms and the stains on the sheets, yet the supervisor Zack denied there was anything there. I also made sure to report them to the Tx. Health Department since they don't want to own up. It's not about the discount, my company pays for my rooms when I travel and they have no problem with it...so that's not the point....it's that Zack the supervisor wants to deny it. Hello!!!! I stayed at the Hampton in Carrizo springs for 9 nights and here for 2 nights…read more The room at this super 8 are wayyy bigger and smell a lot cleaner. Also, there are full size fridges and a stovetop. I'm not sure when this hotel was built but it must be fairly new. Staying on the first floor of the super 8 is ideal because you can walk up right to your room which is better than walking through the lobby and taking the elevator. Downsides: no pool and breakfast is weak (muffins, granola bars and other pre packaged things). I am also unsure if there was a gym present. These reasons are why I did not give 5 stars. If I come back I will be staying here. I was actually impressed. Note: customer service was standard.

There were little dead bugs everywhere. No phone in the room. The smoke alarm was broken and half of it was on the shelf. The chair looked as if they pulled it out of the trash. It looked like a lion attacked it. There were things crawling on the bathroom. The shower was grimy and the faucet came out of the wall. There was grime and dirt everywhere. The ice bucket was filthy. Everything here was filthy. There were little tiny dead bugs on the bed. Just gross.

So she move this guy from a space cause it was security parking only, they have no sign nor a safety cone, the guy was telling her ma'am there's no sign nor a cone she got mad and started yelling at the guy when the guy told her you need to lower your voice and she kept yelling about towing his truck that's very unprofessional. They need to do something about that lady she drives a white small suv.

The lady at the desk was friendly. The room I stayed in was really nice. When they remodeled it they did an extremely good job. I was impressed when I opened the door. Not fancy by any means but just done well. The bathroom was done very well too. The bed was comfy with good pillows. I slept well. If I had a nit yo pick I'd say it wouldn't hurt to replace the towels but they weren't worn out and rough by any means. The price was excellent considering the other places in town with availability were 2 to 3 times more expensive. I did have to put down a $250 cash deposit which I thought was odd since I was paying with a credit card but it still worked out to be a much cheaper option. I would stay here again in a minute.

They evacuated from m Rockport, Texas to avoid Hurricane Harvey. My mom never received her safety shower chair. Owner said they did not have any. Does anyone know if this is code? Phone never worked, television was in & out of commission. The owner would not take her dog if she did not pay him $250 dollars. I traveled around the USA and stayed in Quality Inns many times with my dog & I have never ever paid $250. The most that we paid was $30.00 at a Quality Inn I have to say that Quality Inn has lost there shame. Hotels are extremely tinned down. Bad management in many. Owners do not update anything & let the hotel get rubbed down. I'm very disappointed in the way that they treated my 79 year old mom in time of need during the hurricane Harvey. No one should price gouge $250 for one dog We give this hotel 1 star & owner does not deserve one star. God Bless America & help all who are displaced from Hurricane Harvey.
