This…read moresmall supermarket is organized and well-kept, and it offers essentially all the basic ingredients needed for Korean cooking- noodles, spices, sauces, oils, tofu, etc., as well as Korean drinks, a plentiful assortment of ramen noodles, snacks, ice cream, which I definitely recommend- you can buy a box of Korean ice cream or single serving packs for a nice treat on a hot day. There are also refrigerated and frozen items, like dumplings, rice cakes, and plenty of Kimchi. The owners are Korean and German and can speak both languages, and they are always willing to help if you have questions. The store also includes kitchen devices for Korean cooking, Korean bowls, dishware, hot pots, chopsticks, rice cookers, and utensils, and even products from Korea- blankets, scarves, cosmetics, accessories, etc. They also offer ingredients for other types of Asian cooking, as well as sushi, and the products are very well-priced, especially considering that everything is imported. Yeah, but here you can actually pay with Card, and for me, that i almost live cash-less is a blessing to have such stores nearby or at least in specific points, like the main station in the city center! I'm totally into supporting small businesses but, like i always say, better 98% of something than 100% of nothing! People in Germany should start supporting more the cash-less people! And the thing is that there are solutions like SumUp, iZettle, etc. but they just don't care. So thumbs up for copying a kind of store that exist since decades in North America!

I am an avid Indian food cook and I rely 100% on this store for my varied and exotic ingredients that cant be found in large German stores. They have both fresh and packaged products and generally the quality standards are very high. Only once have I bought fresh coriander and got home to find it a little bit passed its use by date. Prices are very reasonable and the owners are very friendly. Just a word of advice, check the 'best-by' dates on packaged goods before you buy.

For quick cravings, they also have various Asian snacks, ice creams, drinks, ramen noodles, frozen foods, etc. Great place to buy lovely Asian gift sets as well. Store is relatively small, but its size makes it easier to find what you're looking for, and it's well-stocked and reasonably priced. They also have freshly made Gimbap (Korean sushi), kimchi, and other goods throughout the week. If you're new to Korean/Asian cooking, you can also ask for tips or advice from the owner or regular patrons; they're really nice and friendly and speak great German if you're non-Korean. Fresh yummy tofu arrives every Tue and Fri, they are best on the day they arrive. A lot of tropical vegetables such as morning glory arrive from somewhere in Europe on Thu for a few weeks in Summer. Other time they are imported from Asia and so much more expensive.
