I came here to donate clothes and furniture. Upon entering, the store is very well organized and I could actually see myself shopping here. I've been trying to consider thrift stores more so this would be a great place to start. However, I did bring in a car load of clothes and a van of furniture and they took everything. Hana Mission may not look like much from the outside, but it is a two-level thrift store with a great selection of clothes at very reasonable prices. It is definitely not a luxury or high-end thrift store, but it is a great option for those who don't care much about designer labels and want to find good condition clothing and house items at a fraction of what you would pay elsewhere. The styles may not be the most fashionable or up-to-date, but a smart fashionista should have no problems creatively picking out pieces that will work for her (or him). With all the suspect donation trucks out there that supposedly goes to 'help' Veterans when a little digging shows poor stewardship of their donations and money, Hana is a great alternative. The thrift store is run to support their work in Paterson and other low-income areas, and to programs for substance abuse or at-risk children, a fact that some of their employees are rather proud of for good reason. I would rather my donations go to support local communities than the pockets for people who create 'non-profits' for their own gains. I recommend supporting this thrift store either with your money or with your donations. read more

I have always passed this place when in Bloomfield. Finally got to stop by now that I have more free time. By the looks of it it seemed tiny so I figured I wouldn't really find anything, but boy I was WRONGO! All I can say is that I found many standout items in the batch that they carry here. The owners/employees were very friendly & have a great sense of humor. I told them I can't believe no one really knows about their place. It was thrift heaven, but thrift heaven that feels even more rewarding because it's for a good cause. Yup it's a non-profit organization aimed at helping leas fortunate children in Korea. They even have a shop in Paterson that I can't wait to check out. And although I shall not be surprised since it is non-profit, but my jaw dropped when I bought 4 decent designer/company goodies for a "drumroll please"..... 11 bucks. 11 bucks did you hear me? A wool tan suitjacket, fitted petite red express pants, an H&M black fitted sweater dress and a White House/Black Market cardigan all totaled to 11 bucks. i didn't believe it at first but it's pretty cool . Stuff inside is fairly clean and doesn't have that thrift scent. Can't wait to go back on another nice day. You will not find a cleaner, more organized thrift store. At first I was a little concerned I made a wrong turn and ended up in a retail store! All items were clearly labeled with prices. The prices were a flat rate by the type of item unlike Goodwill where item categories will have a base price but some individual items are marked as more (or at least the Goodwills in northern New Jersey). Their prices are really good too! It is a little small but that's ok, it's a thrift store you never know what treasure you might find! Definetely one of the best thrift shops I've been to around this area of New Jersey. There aren't a lot nearby, and yet this little wonder came across my way XD Today I went with my dad to do a little shopping, just to take a look around as it was our first time. I found three Forever 21 items for less than 5$, an addidas jacket for 3$, Polo and Ralph sweaters for only 3$ and the list goes on and on! Unlike other thrift stores like Salvation Army, styles are up-to-date with high marked brands at cheap prices! They even have freaking suits for only 10$, something my dad was very surprised about when most cost up to 100$. In the end I bought a Forever 21 blazer and a really nice blouse for 8$ total. The place is really clean and organized (not something you see a lot in thrift stores)! They have tons of retro items like old computers, vinyl records, old-school tapes, etc. The staff is very friendly and kind, informing me of where other clothes are and asking if I needed any help. If you're looking for a thrift store near the area that's cheap with actually nice style and brand items, this is the place to go! 100% recommend to come here instead of Salvation Army. I was under the impression this was HANA-Haitian American Nurses Association related place but I am still pleased it is about Haiti - I have pens,colored pencils,sharpeners and paper pads collected ,I will take them to the NJ store and they will distribute to the schools& children :-) They can expect to get periodic donations from our family & friends. I stopped by here to donate some shoes, I saw this place through Yelp and went in. It it very clean and super organized!! Great place to give away clothes and items you don't use anymore and are still in good condition and also a great place to shop as well to get some really neat stuff for cheap! I HIGHLY recommend this place and the man there was very customer friendly whether you're donating or buying and it's all going for a good cause, definitely worth checking out! read more
