The thing to remember is these are quality items with quality ingredients; dates for foods, are based on industrial, standard look-up tables which include the lowest-quality items, of which, don't remain fresh as long, and/or were so stabilized with hydrogenated crap at the Twinkie factory, they were never edible to begin-with. I was fortunate to had discovered Spring Home brand egg roll wrappers, bottles of Datu Puti vinegar, and packages super sweet Philippine Dried Mangoes. Prices are reasonable, I believe, especially if you're on a tight budget; though, fresh foods do cost a little more. Service at Asia Mekong is efficient and friendly. They deliver some of the best customer service I've experienced during my weekly supermarket trips. I ordered on Uber eats for pickup mainly because I was worried about the menu being overwhelming in person. Pickup was seamless and the food was packaged nicely. I tried to plate it in a somewhat elegant way and failed wildly. Despite it being the ugliest plate of food I've ever eaten, it was up there with the best in terms of taste. My only regret from my trip to Berlin is that I didn't go back to Domke on my last day. Really great diamond in the rough.

They don't have a very large produce section but what they do sell is usually fresh looking and relatively cheap. The coriander bunches from here are always more fresh than at the other Asian markets near me. Also the store is always very clean and well organized. Most of all, the location is great. It is right off of Alexplatz, close to an U-Bahn entrance, and next door to Alexa shopping center so you can stop in for a Starbucks on your way home!

If you are a fan or just curious, this definitely is the place you should go. There are also some typical Dim Sum inside refrigerators, I already tried some of them, tasted good. They also have a section for just tools those kinda stuff which import from Asia. You can find bamboo steamers, tea pots, sort of things. Pretty helpful, when you are organizing a asian style dinner party. Sometime I also find curtain things are cheaper here than other places. Overall, this supermarket match with their name. It was too aggressive for a waiter's body language. There was so much cringe in the air that I had to laugh, finally he realized my presence and gave me this shocked look as if i came from nowhere. And you know what, all these narrations don't actually come from me, but from my white friend, with whom this waiter was, compared to what I experienced, perfectly polite and friendly. To be fair, other waiters were really kind and attentive. The way they talked to me and my friend was equally nice as professionals. So we can be almost sure that it was not me being a bitch.
