I sent Oleg a simple silver tag bracelet to engrave two plates with name top and date on back. One name and date came out well. The other plate had a few issues. The name was off center to the right, there was also a small tool mark. On the back, the date had a large stray graver cut right through the top of the first 2. This 2 did not even match any of the other 2s that he did. When I ask him to redo the engraving. Oleg said that I should go away and he never wants to do business with me ever again. This is the whole email exchange: Me: "Got the braclet. There are a few issues with it. Attached are some pictures. 1) The name Jasper has a scratch from the J. Also the name is both physically and visibly shifted to the right and squished. 2) The first 2 on the date on the back of Jasper has a engraving line right through the top. I would like to send you another silver plate for a redo. Would it be better to machine engrave the date to better match the others?" Oleg: "In this situation, engraving is free. Don't send me your stuff anymore." Me: "I send the new plate tomorrow. " Oleg: "No, I don't want to do business with you." Me: "Why are you saying that you won't fix this job? You, as a professional Jeweler and Master Engraver, are refusing to work with me, because you rushed a job resulting in a faulty engraving? I have not even mentioned the fact that when you did the engraving on the box clasp you damaged it and I had to spend more time to repair it back into working condition. When all is said and done, you'd rather drop me as a client than fix your simple mistakes?" Oleg: ... (the sound of crickets chirping, and a lone wolf howling) My small shop has used Oleg several times a year for about four years and his work has been adequate to excellent, but apparently if you ever criticize even the simplest thing he becomes a drama queen. Honestly having to deal with his ego 3-4 times a year is such a pain that its just not worth it, even when he does a good job. I would rather work with someone that took enough pride in their work that they would at least try to fix a simple issue. read more

Olev, the owner of Classic Hand Engraving & Jewelry, is never here! Since he has a small business, he makes his own hours. I needed some name plates engraved, no biggie really, but I have been here twice and he was nowhere to be found both times. The second time, I even called beforehand. I have already spent tons of quarters just in parking meters alone. Oleg is a great hand engraver with lots of experience. He is also very talented in making rings. He casted a gold band my husband gave me with all my favorite vacation spots on it. I was in a tight jam and was putting off on getting my wedding bands engraved for a wedding. I was very lucky and fortunate to have him be able to do such intricate, delicate and amazing work in such a short amount of time. He was able to do them in a short time and I was able to have them in use for my wedding that was only several days away. Since my wedding I have used Oleg for everything, little or small, because I can depend on his work always being done well. He has even gone so far as to show me 3D models of work before he even starts on them so that he will know that is indeed what I want. I think the review by Aliciea is completely untruthful and has even compelled me to register and review this business myself. The reviewer couldn't name the business owner whose real name is "Oleg," not "Olev." First, I write very few reviews...but read a lot. Oleg was really great. I sent him an email and got a response with in 1 hour, I then called him after receiving the response and met with him about an hour after that. Mine was a small job, initials and year inside a very small 1.9mm ring for my daughter. Oleg was wonderful and my ring was completed in 48 hours. The review that said he is never at his office had me worried...Just call first, he was happy to meet me with an agreed upon time. He is located down the hall from Jay Feder Jewelers, and William Crow Jewelers...I don't know this for a fact but I imagine they send him their business and these two shops are among the very best (My wedding and engagement rings came from Feder's). I wanted to have a watch engraved and found this place on Google. The owner, Oleg, was amazing! I called ahead but was late for my appointment, had to call again fearing I needed to make another one but he answered the phone right away and was there literally within the next 10 minutes, without even giving me any hard time about being late. What I loved about his style is that he does engravings by hand, without using those machines that most places do nowadays, which gives them a sort of a personal touch and individuality. Let me start off by saying that in the future, I will always take any of my engraving needs to Oleg. I live in Vail, CO and went to the jewelry stores up here and nobody would do the kind of engraving that I wanted to make the outside of my wedding band look like an heirloom piece. I searched online and found Oleg's website. I will admit that I was a bit skeptical, but I wanted my soon to be fiance's ring to be one of a kind. I met Oleg and sat down with him in his shop to talk about exactly what I had in mind. He assured me it would be no problem and to call him two days later. I was very anxious to get the ring back. i called him two days later and he said the ring was ready. I told him I worked late and that I wouldn't even be able to leave Vail until 830 in the evening which would mean that I wouldn't make it to Denver until at least 1030. Oleg was amazing and was more than happy to stay that late at his shop so I could pick of the ring! I was blown away at his accommodating nature, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. When I saw the ring, I was so amazed at the intricate detail that Oleg was able to engrave all around the band. I brought it back to the jeweler in Vail to have the final appraisal. The jewelers in the store were so amazed and impressed by Oleg's work, they demanded I tell them who did the work. I was more than happy to give them his card!
