I have been shopping here for many years! I was a regular when the original owner was there. At that time the store was mostly primitives and I bought so many goodies over the years even a set of antique alphabet blocks which I adore! I have a large red rusty star and candles. The Handmaiden today has a new owner and she still has some primitives but it is mainly farmhouse decor. While I am a true lover of very prim pieces I came back to the new Handmaiden and the ladies are lovely and nice to chat with! I have since bought a few more things such as a small birdhouse and a lovely little Mason Jar nightlight. Still a places will come to look! read more

So a pretty shop. Years ago when the previous owner had it, it was a nice store and I had bought a few nice items. Everything was in the primitive style and my style changed shortly after and I kind of forgot about it. A friend and I had lunch at the new restaurant upstairs in January. (very good by the way). She suggested that we stop in and I'm so glad we did! It has farmhouse style items but also something for everyone and reasonable prices. I wanted one of everything.
