Since it has been so long, I was weary to jump right into just anything ever since generic store-chain experiences (lovely staff with mediocre effort). Out of the blue, a Thai massage sounded fun and the concept of being walked on is neat, albeit not stepping on my fine... Immediately after walking through Linda's office door, it felt like I was back in my grandmother's space with music and overall hippy vibe (moreso with Linda than my grandmother, but you get my point). A Thai massage is different than a traditional massage, so the experience was defiantly new. At times, even uncomfortable, but that is because of my own insecurities which I quickly overcame. The concept of stretching and massage is something I've wanted to try for a long time and I thoroughly enjoyed telling Linda to "hurt me" when the knots wanted to see what's going on. Aside from having hands and feet dig into my thighs, hips, and back, my favorite move is one where Linda sits with your legs between the backside of her legs and compresses down - it feels like the bad juju is being forced out of your muscles and can feel the coolness of released tension swell over like ocean waves (bonus points if you ask for that track during a session too). I highly recommend Linda/ Sound Flow Healing for a Thai massage! She takes plastic cards and cash and has special offers for newbies and possibly regulars (which I have to build my status up to). She is super friendly and easily worked around my busy schedule. At first I didn't know what to expect because I had never even heard of reiki. I was already dabbling in crystals, with sage, and meditation so I was open to the idea of reiki. After the first few sessions I knew that this was something I needed. I never expected what I would take from our sessions, but she has helped me to realize and allow myself to let go, allow myself to heal, love myself, loving others and just understanding more of my spirit and the journey that I am on. I also got my first ever acupuncture treatment from her as well. She made sure I was very comfortable because I was nervous about the needles. I had talk about how bad my anxiety was about travel as well as pain in my shins that I've had. We did a treatment right before I went on a trip and it was the best vacation I ever had. I wasn't anxious one bit! There were times I couldn't even go on vacation because my anxiety was crippling or if I made it I was suffering. That trip was amazing, I had moments of anxiety but nothing I couldn't work through. I was also complaining about shin pain as well.
