Scheduled somebody to come repair our attic door, which was a time-sensitive project (leaking 105 degree air from attic into house during June). 30 minutes after he was supposed to arrive, I called Handyman Connection, and they had no idea where he was and couldn't get in touch with him. He failed to show up at all, and HC attempted to reschedule for a week later. Will be taking this and future projects elsewhere. As a side note, if you click on Handyman Connections "reviews" tab on their website, it sends you to Facebook, where they delete any "review" that doesn't make them look good. read more

Our front door storm door was shattered but a local furniture store delivery person. After struggling with the delivery company owner on replacing the door we decided to contact Handyman Connection to install it. We were informed that Sergio could be out the next day at 9:30am. Sergio was on time and got after the installation PDQ. Discovering that the handle off the old door would not be compatible on the new door Sergio offered to go and get a handle for the door...and he didn't skimp on a cheap flimsy handle. I used these people to pull out a water heater n fix the floor that it sits on I was told to meet the guy at lowes at 8 am he was there on time so far so good right so now I meet this guy to get supplies for the fix I have to put it in my truck so I don't get charged an extra charge then he follows me back to my duplexes to fix it well apparently the water heater had water still in it and he's like well I'm going to have to charge you more for waiting on the water to drain I'm like I don't think so 1st they have u sign contract with them my tenants was like we can help him pull out the water heater well come to find out he had a dr appointment so the manager calls me and says well we're going to have to charge u 85 more bucks to get another guy to help him pull out water heater I'm like no your contract has nuthin saying my guy was helping ur guy out so he's like ok no problem I'll b there to help him well that never happened I got another tenant to help him still cost me 500 bucks for less than 2 hrs of work next time I'll do it myself it's like there money hungry geeeezzzz better think twice before calling these idiots read more

On Yelp and looking for a plumber and saw that the "not so" Handyman Connection was on here. We had a small sheetrock job that we hired them to do in the past and it was not completed. They patched the hole, but days later we had to call and ask them to finish (texture and painting). They came back eventually and textured the spot, but never did paint. We called Handyman Connection and were told that their records showed the job as done. I assured them it was not, and that they could come see for themselves, but they said they would not be back as their "employee" had finished the job. I say "employee" as it seems like the owners just coordinate the work and obviously don't follow up or ensure the job is done right, or in my case, even completed. I ended up doing the painting myself. Avoid this group. read more

I waited until 2:30 and he never came. He had trouble finding my house and just quit trying! No phone call to me or his boss at HC. Wow! Could not have been ruder and more unprofessional. So.... I recently had some problems with the siding on my house and called Handyman connection and they responded very quickly and was able to repair my siding quickly and the price was very fair. I then had an issue with the plumbing in my spare bath, they responded in less than 24 hours and had the parts necessary to make the repair on the spot. This is about Handyman Connection in Alpharetta, GA. Was looking for some concrete ramp work to close a 3" gap on the walkway at a rental property. Wanted to take care of a tripping hazard. In addition a gutter gap needed to be closed at the front entrance. While at Home Depot in Roswell, asked an Associate there if he was aware of a handyman to do this job. He mentioned Handyman Connection representing it as retired contractors doing excellent work. That sounded like a really good idea considering that I represent 4 single family rental properties. Called the number, made an appointment for the next day. Email confirmations were sent/received. All very professional until the next day when the Handyman did not show up for the appointment. Called the office and was put through to the contractor who told me that he was busy on a project, had more appointments that day and would not be able to come out until the next day. He would drive by and quote the work. He did. Received an "exorbitant" quote for $1,100. Sent Handyman Connection an email relaying my experience. They replied apologizing profusely. Had someone else do the work for $200. Would not touch them again with a 10-ft pole. read more

Very disappointed. Called them regarding some concrete issues. They sent someone out and while the man was looking at the areas of concern, he let it slip that he was not really a "concrete guy". Handyman Connection sent someone out who obviously did not have a clue about what I needed and what it would take to fix the problem. I understand that we are paying an extra amount for their service of recommending a good contractor, the office was unorganized, uninformative, and now after asking for a review, basically got upset with me for giving my opinion.
