The wall color is different in each room and the scale of the art is unlike anything I have ever seen in either the Uffizi, Prado, the Louve or the Met. Paintings the size of Times Square billboards cover walls of intense blues, teals and magenta. We had the good fortune of seeing a spectacular exhibit featuring the work of Giorgio Armani whose elaborate creations were on display in almost every room. The building itself was a marvel. Timed tickets are a must.

The museum offers free lockers for storing your stuff and they permit photography though no selfie sticks, tripods or flash. Standard museum stuff. They also have a free wifi that worked quite well. Culptures, paintings, artworks and more. Major focus on Italian works, which is understandable. I specifically enjoyed the works I've uploaded. Emilio Longoni (1859-1932) "Glacier" (1912), Guglielmo Giardi (1842-1917) "Laguna" (1891) and Pablo Picasso (1892-1973) "Tete de Femme" (1957). But there was so much more including sculptures by Rodin and the Parnassus (on the ceiling) and the walls in the Ballroom. Corot, Cezanne, Marquet, Gauguin, Van Gogh. Too many to list. Make the time to visit this museum. Totally worth it and in addition to touring the Duomo, one of the MUST DO in Milan. It remembers the Jewish men, women and children who were taken to a secret underground platform, Platform 21/ Binario 21, who were crowded into freight cars and who were deported on Holocaust trains to extermination camps. Twenty trains carried 1,200 Jewish victims who left Milan in this fashion to be murdered, predominantly at Auschwitz. Only a handful survived. INDIFFERENZA It was hidden for many years. Since so few survived the Holocaust, the site remained lost to history for many years. When it was later discovered, a push was made to made this a memorial to the crimes committed against so many innocent lives tragically stolen. Visit to remember and pray for those murdered. This is not a museum, but a Shoah memorial located on a side and underneath the Grand Central train…read morestation of Milan. As soon as you get in there is a huge wall with the word "indifferenza", which means indifference. In this place lots of Jews where sent to the concentration and extermination camps, with the indifference of Milan's population. There are tracks, and freight trains with the lift that move them up when loaded and ready to leave. At the end of a touchy walk between words, memories, images and videos there is a wall of names, the name of the people sent away. I highly recommend the visit of this place. Just built, is a touchy, emotional experience and a part of recent history of Milan and its people.

My words won't do this art gallery justice. For me, this was better than going to any 15th century…read moreart museum or Roman sculpture gallery. Yes, you can go ahead and call me despicable. But there's a reason 15th century biblical art was so omnipresent during its time. It was the style at the time and everyone who could afford art wanted Jesus depictions. That said, this gallery is full of vibrant, colorful art which literally protrudes from the painting. The artist Massino Meda depicts nature with such vivacity that it strikes you. The 3D paintings of coral, the sea, glaciers, mountains, and landscapes are just so gorgeous. They shine, brighten, and delight the viewer. If I had the disposable income I would no doubt have picked up a few to brighten my home with some rich color and serene images of nature. It is seriously a great break from the kind of art you see in the huge basilicas and art galleries in Italy. It is a modern, contemporary style, and I can't imagine anyone walking in and not feeling entranced. Even if you don't have the money, it's so worth it to walk in to have a pleasurable viewing experience.
