However, every time I come here, it's packed, and you can't make reservations for this place. I've come here at night and also at the random hour of 3pm on a Friday, and it was still crowded. So, that's usually a good sign, when a place is full. It's really fun to be able to sit down with your friends and in front of you is a rolling conveyor belt of different assortments of foods like sushi (some of them even dyed in colors, or presented with fruit on top) noodles, fried shrimp, rice, beef, chicken and veggie dishes, sesame seed balls, and the occasional tiramisu. Soy sauce and wasabi is included. I enjoy my running sushi with a hot cup of jasmine tea. Overall, Okiru Running Sushi is a fun place to check out with tasty foods to try. I have to say I'm surprised that some of the reviews are really bad. I absolutely enjoyed it. Some of the sushi were very creatively done, for example, with berries on them, etc. Various types of sushi were available, as well as many small portions of other Asian dishes. Everything was very delicious and new things were added to the conveyor belt almost all the time. The place itself is also nicely made, although it might get tricky for those who are not sitting exactly next to the conveyor belt, because then they have to reach far in order to get some food or ask someone else to take something for them. But then again I think this is usual with running sushi restaurants :) The place was very crowded though - it might have something to do with the special -50% offer which they had, but I have heard that it can get very hard to get a seat also at any other time. But I think this shows how popular the restaurant actually is. Waiters were still quite nice even if they had to work very hard due to the huge amount of guests. the normal price for running sushi at lunchtime is 11,90 €, evenings - 16,50 €. I think this price is totally acceptable for what you get here; it's definitely worth it! :)

It didn't seem like very much newly prepared items were being added to fill in the empty gaps on the conveyor belt. There were very few selections, over and above the deep fried prawns. One item had me totally baffled: was I really seeing garlic bread? It begs the question: how long are items permitted to stay on the conveyor belt before the would be classified as unsuitable for consumption? To be fair, the Miso soup was piping hot. The drinks were perfectly chilled. The chilled sushi, kimchi and such-like were ok. On the whole, though, a very disappointing experience.

This place is mall and filthy. The service is incredible rude and the sushi is just super low quality the taste totally disappointing. We ended up tossing our food because we were so dissatisfied with the taste and quality.

I absolutely love sushi. Not going to lie, I was a little hesitant ordering from here, because of how cheap/discounts that were advertised outside the restaurant. Main reason why is, since I consume raw sushi I am certainly cautious. One of my classmates told me it wasn't bad, therefore, I became more open to it. I ordered California rolls and salmon nigri to go! Generous portions, and it tasted fine! Our first stop was in Prague, and I did not come across any sushi places - I was having sushi withdrawals... haha so I was very content after my meal! - small restaurant - super nice staff! * I miss Central/Eastern Europe, home to return in the future! The miso soup was steaming hot .... and good. The Bento box itself was awesome. I selected the Sake Bento which came with tasty grilled salmon, salad, 6 maki sushi, 3 mini rolls, a pre-cut orange, and a generous serving of rice. Complimentary lychees and a schluck of lychee wine arrived as the included dessert. And all this at a cost less than 7 Euros as I was there before 5 o'clock. This is truly one of the best value meals in all of Vienna .... actually in all of anywhere! No wonder this is such a popular spot!
