I called quote on a small sign order for approx $750 (based on other quotes). Joe, the salesperson, told me that it wasn't worth his time to fight over the order when I told him I have 3 other quotes. What he didn't know is that 2 were online quotes and we were looking to do business locally. Plus while this was not a "big enough" order, the company I work for does substantial sign ordering throughout the year and establishing a relationship with this one order could have meant many more orders in the future.
