Only one star to be able to write a review. This may seem harsh, but I experienced first hand how awful this institution is managed. People and staff do not care as much about you as they claim to. They charge an arm and a leg for education that is not all inclusive. They refused to accommodate me the way they are legally and medically required to, but I was told to "advocate for myself". I was my own representative, teacher, and guidance counselor at times, because no one cared enough to help. They instead let me fail, then decided with two weeks left to try to help. They don't support you. They have limited majors, and if you don't want to nurse or preach, you're out of luck really. Rather than focusing on improving their staff and educational resources, they add sports and elective classes that don't benefit you really. For a Christian university, I'm very disappointed in how they run. I literally transferred schools to somewhere else because I was not helped the way I legally have a right to be. Don't fall for their 50% off tuition, it's still insanely high, and they raise their prices often. I also saw they were giving away an iPad to a lucky applicant- they're technically bribing people to apply because they're going under. Putting the fun in fundamentalism! Righteous indignation. Check. Intolerance on the lifestyles of others? Check. Is this a place where your child can grow, learn and become a young adult forging ahead with the tools to thrive. No. This is more like a cultish brainwashing factory where the pupils are spied on, treated like lepers, then escorted off campus without their belongings or any kind of due process. If you are thinking of sending your child here think long and hard about what kind of "christian" values really matter. How bout empathy? Trust? Forgiveness? These are not the strong arm tactics used in a gestapo like prison of Hannibal Lagrange college. read more

Great place to go to! I went on a tour to HLGU and absolutely loved it! The professors were so nice. The admissions counselors were so nice. It was an overall great experience. read more
