Apart from that the thread and most stages along it's way are for free - so it's also a great thing to do with lots of guests even if you're not that rich yourself (I'm a student so I know what that's like)

A purchase point for the Hannover Card that gives you free bus rail and subway entries and discounted rates on most major attractions. Also they gave souvenirs here and they take credit cards which I am finding to be rare here in the city.
