My only regret is that I didn't find him sooner as he was the second attorney I used in my divorce proceedings. Chris is so thorough and knowledgeable. The request for information he asks for sometimes made me feel like it is over the top, but when it came to the mandatory settlement conference, I finally understood the method to his madness as he walked all over opposing counsel because of his preparation. It was obvious they were ill prepared and no match for Chris's strategy. The exhibits and case law that he presented were so abundant that they didn't have anything to counter, had no push back, and accepted our offer. As far as billing, every month I would get a detailed accounting of the work he would put in on my case, matching the accounting I had recorded, which made me trust he wasn't padding the bills like most attorneys do. The only reason I am only giving him a one star rating is because yelp won't let me give him no stars, plus there is no negative star rating selection and no stars would be too high of a rating. I spent over $6,000.00 and all I got was lost time with my children and a dead beat dad status because the ball was dropped and my child support payments went to another area of the state than where it was supposed to really go. If you like a person who doesn't consider your demands and is a mouthpiece for the courts then Chris is your man. Long as you shut up, let him do his job to line his pockets with your hard earned dollars with no questions then he gets 5 stars for that. He would rather email you at $25.00 per email rather than call you on the phone which usually shows up on your caller ID as blocked. And when you do call and talk to a human, it is usually his gate keeper. I understand getting brutal honesty advice to the possible outcome of the court case, but brutal honesty and a mouthpiece for the courts talking about appease this and appease that gets old quick. He yells at you for having your own terms to submit to the court, lambastes you about having handled hundreds of cases but yet I get kindergarten level experience, not to mention the incompetence that you would expect from a paralegal, except I think a paralegal would be a better way to go because a paralegal is trying to do a good job to get their license. Right after this review I think I will report him to the California Barr association and will take my money elsewhere. read more
