I have to say, I was unsure of the whole process but I felt comfortable with the fact that she is medically trained as an anesthesiologist. So I went! I am so glad I did. My experience was great. She is a true professional and also a wonderful person who takes the time to listen. I felt completely at ease. She's just so nice. She answers your questions thoroughly and intelligently and also gives great skin care tips as well. Her office is comfortable! The music was so soothing, and although it might seem like a small detail, it actually made the whole experience so calming and quite a treat ! My results ? The front desk guy his name I believe is David was utterly rude and I really can't comprehend his approach or mentality to speak with a prospect client. It seems like it's impossible to get an appointment with the actually doctor there without getting intimidated or humiliated by him first. He will say multiple times to you that "you don't need to book with us" and at that point all of your excitement and enthusiasm to want to meet with the doctor is gone. Also, English is not my first language and David made sure that I am aware of that. He told me that "Dr. Happe is a woman, she is a she, she is not a he. You use she, you do not use he. Do. you. understand." Thank you, professor David, for letting me know that I am not a white female who speaks perfect English, therefore I do not deserve to speak with you nor to make an appointment with Dr. Happe. It took me a while to decide on which doctor I'd use for Botox injections. I was nervous about my face looking frozen and all the other worries that stem from bad experiences. I decided on Dr. Happe based on 2 main reasons. First she is an anesthesiologist which just speaks to the deep knowledge of facial structure, muscles etc. - who better to trust with a needle? I was having inconsistent results with my injector at a high end Newbury Street location with an excellent reputation. But the work was not meeting my very high standards(some superficial injection, product migration, and several hyalurondaise appointments to correct these issues) I was seeking PRECISION.. as should you! In my search, I was immediately impressed with Dr. Happe's credentials as an Anesthesiologist. If there is anyone you can trust with a needle--- am I right? My consultation was extremely thorough. She is honest, ethical and kind. My first appointment included a hearty dose of Botox in two areas and Kybella. I am SO HAPPY with how it went. These are things I've done elsewhere but Dr. Happe's technique is infinitely better. Upon reading some other reviews, I simply shrugged at the mention of Dr. Happe's gentle touch with a syringe. I'd never had an issue with pain or an aggressive injector. But after my appointment, I totally get it! I barely felt a thing. Truly. What impressed me most was how extremely calculated, careful and PRECISE her technique is. I called to inquire about the price for Dysport. The receptionist became defensive asking me why I'm inquiring and if I'm a patient. The receptionist continued to ask me several times how I found Dr Happe as if I shouldn't even be calling. It was completely uncomfortable. I felt Like I spent more time explaining the work I've done with other drs to convince him I'm serious about price checking and scheduling a consultation with Dr Happe. The receptionist was very cold and un-welcoming. He told me Dec 9 is the only appointment. After continuing to convince him I have an appointment with another Dr whom I'm looking to cancel. He finally somehow found a Dec 2 appointment. He was extremely cold. It was clear he did not want me to book. Honestly I should not have to throughly explain to any receptionist I have been seen by other doctors in order to convince them I am serious. I think I will stick with my regular doctor. Dr Hong medical spa in Newton. Dr Hongs staff are excited to book, enthusiastic, and don't make you feel like because you SOUND like a person of color you might not be serious or can not actually afford to pay for the service.I hope the receptionist see this and cancel the appointment. I personally have nothing negative to say about Dr. Happe. I have not had an opportunity to speak or meet Dr. Happe. I will preface this by saying I did not have the pleasure of meeting with the doctor. I had tried to book on-line for a required virtual appointment which was fine. Website says it is free. As I went through the booking process, I got to the point where they wanted a CC # and it said they were going to charge me a $1 fee. I sent a message asking why they needed my cc and why they are charging me a dollar if it was free? To their credit, David from the office left me a voicemail very quickly and explained that it was because they have a $100 no show fee and all they ask is that we cancel 24 hours before the appointment. Well, that is fair IF it states same on the website. So I went back to check and nothing. I called David and he explained the policy. I said, I understand but where does it say that on your website and in the booking process. He said it is in the confirmation email. I said, so after I give you my cc and you charge me $1 for an appointment that is supposed to be free, IF I am a no show within your subsequently disclosed policy which patients can only learn about after the fact (and perhaps may not notice - I did not get that far so not sure how clear it is), you can charge me $100 for what is supposed to be a free consult? A charge I did not agree to when I booked by the way. I said I'm sad because that sounds suspect and with all the great reviews, I really wanted to meet with the doctor. Silence. I waited. Literally silence - he simply did not respond. So I said, Ok I guess that is the answer and I hung up. Dr. Happe really could avoid this by being upfront on the website and through the booking process. I certainly understand time is money and they only want ppl who are serious. I get that and she should be able to charge a fee if someone is a no show and she cannot book that slot. But it should be noted UPFRONT before you book and before you give a cc#. If you give your CC to a vendor they have the right to charge you ongoing. You can only usually stop it by cancelling the card so that is just not cool IMHO. I am sure there is a way to bill you for $100 upfront and agree via the booking process to refund or something. Not sure but it just makes me nervous and again, it is suspect. I'm really bummed. From all the reviews, she looks to be great at what she does and I was looking forward to meeting with her. read more
