Happy Dumplin is my go to for pot stickers when I say its my addiction, I have been here more than twice a month. I have had there fried pork pot sticker dumplings are delicious with that chili oil bomb I love to go home and add franks sweet chili sauce to the chili oil. I also love the ladybug drink I ask for it sweet and light ice. These are the only items iv had here because I can't stop getting enough of them. Everything is made fresh so you will have to wait a little for your food, but in my opinion worth the wait. The ambiance of the shop is little has counter seating but I never stay to eat I normally take to go. When I wait for my food I take the counter seat it can be sticky sometimes, but I'm not here for the shop I'm here for food! read more

I have eaten here several times. My favorite food items are the spicy garlic edamame, lotus leaf sticky rice, beef noodle soup, and green scallion pancakes. Their creamy mango and creamy strawberry drinks are really good, and so is the Lady Bug. These drinks are full of flavors, and can be addictive if you don't control yourself! The service is a kiosk, posted right at the door, and the ambiance was nice and quiet. Conversation with 6 other friends here the other week proved that you can enjoy your food and drinks, and also have meaningful conversations. Dan Dan noodles Combination xiao long bao Lotus leaf wrap stick rice Osmanthus black tea with almond pudding The Dan Dan noodles flavor tasted really good however, there wasn't enough sauce for the noodles so it was a bit dry. The combo xiao long bao came with 8 pieces with 4 different flavors. 2 pork spicy, 2 pork, 2 chicken, and 2 beef with cumin. That was said in the order of favorite to least favorite. The beef with cumin taste was really strong. I didn't like it at all. I had also asked if I could get slices of ginger to pair with my xiao long bao cuz it tastes really good with it. The chef came out and asked what it was I needed with I clarified was ginger and she said they don't have any. At first I was understanding because sometimes, they don't carry specific items. I stopped in this little, unassuming shop while shopping because I heard they had soup dumplings. Soup dumplings are still somewhat rare in the Denver area, and having this one further north was a treat. The inside is quaint, a few seats in the back and some seats by the window (where I sat) Staff was very friendly, menu was easy to read and they also have a kiosk you can order from. I loved the variety, and ordered chicken soupy dumplings, edamame, and bubble tea. Tea was good, I loved the heart jellies! Lots of cute add-ins for the drinks. Edamame was a tasty starter and the soup dumplings were, in fact, delicious. My only gripe would be that they are a little small for the price (about $2 per dumpling) Overall, this is exactly the kind of business this area needs and I'll certainly be around again when my soup dumpling cravings hit. read more

I stopped at Happy Dumpling to pick up a quick bite. This is a small shop with some bar seating and a few small tables. This place is clean and the staff is friendly. My order was whipping up very quickly. As I waiting near the register I noticed they have a lot of bottle drink options as well as desserts. I'm interested in coming back to try their Matcha Mont Blanc. What I ordered: Mongolian Beef Boa buns and Teriyaki Chicken Bao Buns- steamed and delicious. The breading was moist. The filling was ample and well seasoned, I could clearly taste ginger in their sauce and it was so good. Peach oolong tea (unsweetened)- Mellow and refreshing, the peach was lovely flavor. Dagona coffee- I love the taste of coffee and this drink was well-balanced. Roasted Dalgona coffee flavor blended with milk, just enough coffee without being bitter i this was a creamy delight. If you like coffee, I recommend this drink. Creamy Mango Milk Tea- I ordered this for my husband to bring to work and he said it was great! I love this little shop in Westminster. No frills, just good food and friendly service. Our order consisted of: pork bbq buns, soup dumplings, cucumber wood ear salad, and a High Mountain tea. I was excited to try their soup dumplings, as those are hard to get right and I have yet to be satisfied with other restaurants in the Denver area. We got the colorful soup dumplings which consisted of 8 dumplings, 4 flavors: pork, spicy pork, cumin beef, and chicken. They were tasty and loaded with soup! The pork bbq buns were good, not exceptionally better than other places, but we devoured them quickly and happily. The tea was so good. Crisp with that strong tea taste. I'm glad they hold this style of authentic tea. The cucumber wood ear salad was probably the only disappointing dish. It was mainly cucumber (little wood ear mushroom) and there wasn't really any added flavor or sauce. I was expecting something more marinated with soy sauce/sesame oil/garlic/spice. Was in the Northglenn area and was looking for a place to get some filling dumplings on a cold rainy day, and Happy Dumpling looked to be an interesting place to stop by and fill that craving. We went on a Saturday around noon and were seated promptly. The atmosphere of the restaurant gives small tea/coffee shop vibes. There isn't a ton of seating, and with the given seating, it felt a bit crammed with the options being high seats and small circular tables. Definitely more of an area to drink your beverage and chat with friends and enjoy small bites rather than eating a meal here. Service is fast, as we received the start of our order after 10 minutes. As for the food, we ordered a good variety of dumplings from soup dumpligs to wontons, which I'll review down below. The dumplings/wontons in chili oil were the most tasty of the dumplings we got, they definitely had a more of a home made feel in terms of the wrapper texture and the fillings had decent flavor that was nicely complimented by the chili oil. The next sets of dumplings in the bamboo steamers were only alright in my opinion, they definitely had the manufactured feel, and I know that I have bought these soup dumplings in the frozen aisle of my local grocery store. Both flavor and texture-wise gave hints to this, as they were slightly soggy with preserved flavors. They were not bad by any means, but if I'm going to a restaurant, I would definitely prefer something that I can't buy and prepare for a fraction of the price. In the end, we spent about $120 between four people. Which isn't a steep amount, but considering the quality and quantity of dumplings given the price - I would say this is only an alright establishment if you are looking for a place to satisfy the dumpling craving. I'm not sure if I would personally come back to try the other options that Happy Dumpling has to offer. read more

I ended up ordering the beef noodle soup with egg and pork dumpling soup with noodles, to go. I waited about 20 minutes and my order was ready. They seemed busy, but mostly "to go" orders being placed and picked up. This restaurant is narrow, so most of the seating is towards the back of the restaurant. Some tall bar stools in the front up against a counter. Very limited seating for groups. Came home with my two orders. Very hot, freshly prepared. My beef noodle soup was mostly noodle, but the beef was good, veggies good. Broth was flavorful, especially fennel. The dumplings were good but, again, so many noodles. About $15/person, and very large portions. Delivery available through Door Dash. Feels good to support a local restaurant. read more

They provided a discount for our bulk order. And they delivered to our location which was the best! Included serving tongs and condiments. The homemade chili sauce was delicious and spicy. Napkins and some boba drinks rounded the order up. The boba drinks were tasty and cold. I drank mine up right away. The lotus leaf chicken sticky rice was my favorite. Soft and tender. A little small in portion size so I had grabbed two. The veggie egg roll was good. I could have eaten four myself. The filling of the taro sweet bao bun was not overly sweet and smooth in texture. Nice flavor. The egg custard sweet bao bun was also good. There was a good spice to the Dan Dan noodles. A little oily for me but filling. Everyone ate the food up in an hour. We just had a great lunch at Happy Dumpling, everything was delicious! The trick is to arrive early because they sell out of dumplings throughout the day. Based on what was available, we ordered steamed pork buns, pan fried chicken potstickers (add chili oil), and pork chili wontons. We also got lychee lover tea and white grape tea. The dumplings and wontons tasted so fresh - you can tell the dough is made in house. The pork buns were perfect. The best part is that everything arrived steaming hot, which enhanced the flavors. I did think the sauce in the chili wontons was a little salty for my taste, but it was still very good. I ordered the white grape tea with strawberry heart boba and it was a little pink jelly hearts in the cup. So cute!! There is limited seating, so this is a spot best for takeout or a quick lunch. Popped in for a quick lunch- Had the veggie egg rolls, soup dumplings, and pork buns. Veggie egg rolls were perfectly rolled (nice a tight) and excellent fry crisp but moist veg filling. Soup dumplings were made very well, but would have liked more soup on the inside. Pork buns had good flavor but a very a low meat-to-bun ratio. Service was excellent. All items fresh made and came out very hot in a decent time from ordering. Chili sauce is made in house and was excellent. Wasn't overly impressed (No wow factor) but still a good little spot. Main complaint is the use of styrofoam plates and plastic utensils, however, I assume this is due to the size of the facility being so small perhaps they don't have room for serving dish-ware. Happy Dumpling survived quite well after an onslaught of nearby competition. Despite the often bemoaned cramped space and plastic utensils, the food is actually surprisingly good, flavorful and true to the taste with new items added to the menu occasionally. Most of the items are freshly made in the back kitchen right before serving and it is nice to have the option to smell and pick a wide variety of tea leaves for their freshly brewed drinks. If I was just rating the food, I would give a 5 star review. Since we actually sat down and ate, I would give it a 4 star review. They do have the soupiest and best tasting Co Soupy Dumpling 8 Pieces. We tried the cumin beef and will definitely be back for more. The Lotus Leaf Wrap Stick Rice was good, Pan Fried Pork Buns had a nice fried skirt on it, and the shrimp dumplings were good. The garlicky bok choy was so good. The pork sui mai was underwhelming. The method of serving was definitely not meant for dining in service. I get that it is a small place, but serving in the resturant on to go lids and to go containers is tacky. Also lesson learned from the first time, the electronic menu has more options than ordering at the counter which is also annoying. I'm tipping based on start to finish service not half computer and self service. read more

Smells like sewage when you walk in. 2. Looks very dirty. Looks like someone's cluttered kitchen. Just messy looking. Tables were sticky. Did I mention it smelled? 3. They only have one person working there so she was bouncing between taking orders and making the food so wait times are long. 4. I have a real problem with places using Styrofoam as serving containers EVEN FOR DINE IN. The worst was having the Pork Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup served in the plastic bowl and BBQ buns on the lid of that plastic bowl. OK, that's what you do at home, but don't forget, if you just serve frozen food at home, it takes no time (unlike the long wait at Happy Dumpling) and doesn't cost this much. Pork egg rolls - crispy and flavorful, really good with some chili oil and soy sauce. Soup dumplings - cozy and filling, we got the variety pack and my husband said this was his favorite dish. We have never had soup dumplings before, they were delightful. Pan fried pork buns - perfectly crispy bottom, filling, could use a little more flavor but the bar is high, these are delicious and a good portion. Oyster bok choy - absolutely delicious!! These also had a lot of garlic in them, great flavor. Spicy pork wontons - great spice level (warm with spice but not melt your face off (unless you have a low spicy tolerance maybe)). Hot and sour soup - I could do without the soup, for hot and sour, I've had more flavorful options. It was ok, but not great (in my opinion). Japanese cheesecake - rich but also light, cake like texture underneath the cheesecake. Very good! We will definitely come back and try more items! It is funny if you dine in, they don't really have any plates, I think it would be nice if they could get some real dishes for dine in service, additionally have their own sweet and sour sauce instead of packets.
