Poor customer service and outdated technology. Do not sign up for a membership with this studio…read moreunless you are 100% committed. I have been contacting them for the past month to cancel my membership but I have not gotten as single response and my credit card continues to be charged. I went in to the studio in early April to cancel my membership and the receptionist said she could not help me and told me to call or email. I called with no answer. I emailed on April 30th and got no response. I called again to follow up and had to leave a message. No response. Now today my credit card was charge again for a studio that I have not be able to visit and take classes since Jan.

A friend told me that the first class at this place was free, so I thought, hey, why not? It was…read morekind of confusing to find the door (it's sort of my the to-go line for the restaurant outside btw) but I saw someone walking with a yoga mat and figured following her would be a good plan. It was. You go up a flight of stairs and it's the first door that you come to. Go in and there is a little waiting room area, where you sign up for the class. The woman who led our class (I think her name was Jessa) checked us in, and asked if we had any injuries, etc which I appreciated. I didn't bring a yoga mat so I borrowed one (which had a very nice smell... Which is sort of random, i know, but it was nice). Then we went into the studio, and it was so pretty! There were new hardwood floors, lots of windows, and a cool yoga photo on the front wall. It felt very welcoming. Jessa was a great teacher, very patient and helped me make small corrections. I went to the gentle flow one so it was pretty calm, but was told that there was another class after that was much harder. The one I was in had a wide range of people, which was nice. Jessa made it seem kind of familial, like in the beginning she said it was their 6th birthday on Saturday and they were going to have free classes and do a champagne toast after, and even if you didn't want to come to a class you could still come for the toast. Cool place. I'd definitely recommend trying it out for a class, whether you've never done yoga before or are just looking for a new place. It's free the first time, so either you find that you like it and come back, or you don't, but at least you tried something new. Either way, seems like a win to me :)

I was excited to see a new studio open in my neighborhood! I came to a beginner yoga workshop on…read moreSaturday, and learned a lot in the two hours with Lindsey. I always struggled with downward facing dog pose, and Lindsey explained how to align ourselves starting with our arm and hand placement. Attending the workshop gave me a week of free classes, so today I attended my first slow flow with Lindsey. I really liked the pace of the course and its focus on relaxation. The atmosphere is also very nice. There are large east-facing windows in the studio with a great view. The studio is bright and clean, and there are many props like bolsters, blocks, blankets, and straps to use. I signed up for two more classes this week, another slow flow and a mindful flow. The studio offers daily meditation at 5:30 AM, along with classes such as yin yoga, dynamic yoga, slow flow, mindful flow, and family yoga. Bring your own mat and water. Shoes and phones/cameras must be left outside of the yoga room at the entry on little shelves. I highly recommend trying a class here, whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned yogi. This is a safe space to practice and focus on breath. Namaste!

I plan to continue attending on a weekly or twice weekly basis at least, as the classes are challenging but are also accessible to even the most green yogi. Lindsey is a very skilled teacher and provides guidance in a very meaningful way, never making someone feel badly about what they are or aren't capable of. I have felt better, mind and body, since attending the classes and beginning to get in touch with myself more. So thankful this studio is opened here in MHK!

I have never been to a salt cave before so this was a unique experience for me. I called and…read moretalked to Wendy before coming and asked her some questions to prepare for my experience. This salt spa uses the MindBody app so you can book your session on there. There are quiet sessions, casual sessions (with more light to read magazines and have light chatter), salty lunch (short time on a lunch break), salty kids (a children's session), and yoga on Wednesday nights. The spa is open every day except Tuesdays, so I came in on Sunday to try it out in the afternoon. It is $30 for a 45 minute session. Wendy greeted me and showed me around. In the salt room, there are Himalayan salt rocks on the ground like a beach, beach chairs, blankets, and cool salt decor on the walls. Wendy put on Tibetan music and told me how the fine salt would come out of the sconce in the wall for 45 minutes. I was by myself for this casual session, and mostly rested on a blanket on the salt beach. It was very relaxing. I think it would be fun to come back with Eric R., and he might like the yoga in the salt room too. After my session, I spoke more with Wendy and her husband Scott. She explained the benefits of salt therapy and why they opened the first salt room in the state of Kansas. It is a really cool place to have in our little city. Give it a try and you can be salty too!

A regular session typically includes sitting back in our zero gravity chairs or lie directly in he salt and relax and breathe. Other services include craniosacral, yoga and mindfulness workshops!
