After many years of association with Town and Country Vets I believe I can safely say, I have never been as pleased with the care that is provided to my felines. They are extremely attuned to the cat psyche and are very willing to take extra steps to connect with these patients. I have not found this to be true ANYWHERE else. Felines are not canines. They were very concerned about my puppy and she is in the hospital receiving the upmost care. I feel like the front desk. People were not compassionate as I had to go back the next day. They did not give me enough medicine for five days so I had to go back the next day to tell them I had not enough medicine to last me five days. I was treated like I had spilt the medicine out because they had given me the correct amount I just wanted my puppy to feel better. I just wanted support and kindness. I think this place is not the best place in Hattiesburg for your pet. That's exactly how I felt. I won't be taking my puppy there and I will tell anyone not to take their puppy there.

However, I cannot give five stars because there are some new people there who do not know how to communicate with pet owners on several levels: how to care for pets when they are taken home, being clinical instead of showing compassion to owners when a much loved pet may need euthanized (a balance of both is needed), shaming and berating owners when they don't immediately cave to pressure to euthanize (and when they cannot understand the reasoning), seeming failure to provide that pet with the complete care needed because "he/she is going to die anyway." When the pet was taken to another vet for a second opinion, those vets did not recommend euthanasia nor did specialists who also saw the pet! They advised against it!Seems like some are too trigger happy just because a pet is uncomfortable or has momentary pain. So just fair warning to anyone who is told to euthanize: get another opinion. And be careful who treats your pet at this clinic.

He did not have to have the operation that many do. He also saw them during Jan. 2022, the last days of his life. They were very caring and one dr talked with me at length about it being time for Oscar to go. "Who will speak for Oscar?" When Oscar was put to sleep he did not feel it. He just enjoyed being petted to the end. The sedative was perfect in amount, he literally just went to sleep loving being held and petted. He tried his best to live longer & they tried to save him.

I went in a few months ago with my dog that was hit by a vehicle (he is perfectly fine). After going in and having him checked he was clearly fine he was enthusiastic to be there jumping around, wagging his tail, and smiling. After his checkup they recommended Z-rays because "even though he isn't showing them now something could happen later" after hearing that we got the X-rays just to find out there was absolutely nothing wrong and they still added $60 pain meds when he clearly wasn't in pain. Also just to note 4 X-rays are $450 more than 10 X-rays for a person.
