Looking at the shop now, I don't know how she ever fitted in to the smaller store before. The shop screams 70's psychedelic in logo and layout and there is a colourful array of racks of clothing both inside the store and out. You can find vintage clothing, designer clothing and just about everything in between. The change rooms are bright and airy and Nadia or her other assistants are always ready to help out. You can always find something unique here at a good price. As well as clothes, they have a large selection of shoes, bags, belts and jewellery. The only thing about the new store is that it is a little harder to find, being tucked away around the back of Cheap as Chips.

But I brought in a picture of milady, and showed it to the staff, and they gave me some handy tips as to what might suit her. I ended up buying a thirty dollar dress. I can't tell you whether the advice was accurate or not, as Christmas isn't 'til tomorrow, but here's the best part: I've already nailed the present. This is just a bonus, so if I've made a terrible choice, I'm still in the clear. Regardless, I'd like to thank the staff for their help with the unorthodox request.

Now that we have an exclusive accessory shop in Rundle Mall, I'm in my element. Sportsgirl accessory stores are called Sportsgirl SG. Where do I start? What do I love accessory wise at Sportsgirl? Number one would have to be their makeup. Its really well priced and lasts and lasts. I would definitely give both their mascara and their nail polishes a try. The nail polish comes in a great range of colours and the mascara does not run - unless of course you cry it away. If you haven't tried their self tanning lotion - you simply must. It's a gradual tanner and is called 'Here Today Tanned Tomorrow'. Great colour and great price. Jewellery. What girl can't go past a bit of costume jewellery. Of course we would all love to have oodles of the real stuff but not being cashed up like Elizabeth Taylor, for most of us costume is the next best thing. Sportsgirl have bracelets, necklaces, earrings and rings and the great thing is because they're not so pricey, you can update regularly to keep on trend. Bags, wallets and clutches. Show me a girl with enough handbags and I'll show you a girl who's just not taking proper care of herself. From tiny purses to giant totes, Sportsgirl have a bag for everyone. For winter, check out their hosiery and scarves and in summer, remember to slip, slop and slap a hat on your noggin to avoid getting burnt. They have a good selection of hats. Also a fan of the big oversized dangly earrings which I only wear one of - I'm that cool. Some of the stuff is so preppy though it makes me shudder, there was never this problem before with Sportsgirl accessories, it's almost like they needed to fill in some wall space. So these days, I can take it or leave it, SG is more of a time killer when you're waiting for the bus, except I wouldn't risk missing the buss for this store.

The store is small but there were a number of girls browsing around. They have some beautiful cocktail and casual dresses at reasonable prices (around $50, $60). They also had a collection of all types of accessories including bags, wallets, hats and jewellery. I also recognised a couple of clothing items I have seen in other boutiques down The Parade or O'Connell St which were a good $10, $20 cheaper. As my wallet has been completely wiped out from the Christmas rush I couldn't buy anything, but will be back to fill my closet for weekends, evenings and work.

Sooki is in fact, the big sister store to Kitschy (formerly Kitschy & Cute... I guess they're no longer cute?), a hop skip and jump down the road on the Parade. Where Kitschy stocks more affordable pieces and up-and-comers, Sooki is out and out established names: we're talking Bec & Bridge, Wildfox Couture, Shakuhachi, Alice McCall, Rachel Gilbert. The collections remain accessible with smatterings of young labels like Friend of Mine as well locals including Finders Keepers, which are on the lower end of the price point. The two room Norwood store is pretty sweet to browse. While there isn't a lot going on with visual merchandising, there's lots of space, with well lit change rooms and easily accessible racks in which to spot that standout piece. Every time I go into Sooki the girls are polished to the max and looking amazing, as well as being super friendly and welcoming. They're always more than happy to offer styling advice to girls who need it too. Last time I was there the girl chatted my ears to the point of falling off, which some people might mind, but I was up for a bit of banter. Whether you're going to buy or browse, Sooki is always a pleasant shopping experience. The girls are gorgeous and friendly, always offering assistance to customers. A sexy girl in a sexy dress is a certainty to be spotted at least once in a visit to Rundle Mall, Adelaide. Come here on any given weekday and you'll believe me. It's only a matter of time before you suddenly turn your head towards that girl's direction...I remember an American businessman friend of mine that told me, "When I visited Australia for the first time, and I saw how beautiful Aussie women were, I knew it was highly likely that I could get into trouble. And I'm married." This isn't an understatement. I've fallen victim to the lure of Aussie women several times before. I especially loved the music that was playing. It's hard not to like a store when they have a playlist of a Sade song, followed by 'World Tour' by 'A Tribe Called Quest'. Frilly at the top, and skimpy and tight around the waist and legs. The prices are higher than usual, and you can get far classier dresses for a lower price. Miss Gladys Sym Choon still deserves a lot of credit for its designs from the Malaysian designer. Although designs can be simple and of one bright colour (my top two colours from this store are bright red or metallic black), there are other items on offer, and you've gotta appreciate that they've allocated a generous section for menswear too. Though not the best on prices, Miss Gladys Sym Choon do dresses very, very well. It was funny, because once I asked the shop assistant for a sexy dress, he was on fire and picked out five different colours without any hesitation! The other girls downstairs saw what was happening and they laughed when I said, "She's tryin', I'm buyin!'" LOL For those of us blokes who randomly suddenly get a testosterone hit while shopping, Miss Gladys Sym Choon will cause your jaws to drop. Thank you so much. The best way to end my day. I left there thinking, "Damn girl, you looked sexy in those tight dresses. Sexy, sexy, sexy." This store, like the Sade song, "gave me a kiss of life."

I came in here the other day just browsing and thought I'd ask the shop assistant if she had any travel wallets (as I will be travelling next year). She replied with a yes and showed me the selection. Some were on sale and of course the ones I liked were still at full price, but they were gorgeous. Kate Hill has really thought about the details when designing these statement accessories. If you're looking for a cute new accessorie and some polite and helpful assistance Kate Hill is just the place for you.
