I have heard of this place for a long time and didnt try them until 2025. My favorites here are the roasted Okinawa milk tea with boba - they have brown sugar boba with a roasted tea flavor - super yummy. Their original waffle with the salted cheese dip is to die for! Eat them right when they come out warm and crispy. I have tried their best seller Oreo milk tea but it was underwhelming - just get the Okinawa one, 50% sugar is plenty sweet. The space is bright and clean, theres always parking as its part of a mall. The staffs here are pleasant too.

I unpurposely make it my mission to stop by and order two drinks every ten days. I was introduced to salted cheese from Happy Lemon in 2018 and haven't stopped loving it. Being the first in the world to create the salted cheese topper, Happy Lemon proudly boasts "often imitated, never duplicated", which stands true. I always order either the Jasmine Green Tea with Salted Cheese or the Classic Black Tea with Salted Cheese. Trust me, you won't regret it. There's something magical about this drink. Starting with the base of the tea itself, Happy Lemon brews delicious, quality tea you can actually taste. Next, they'll mix in the perfect cream ratio to the tea to craft the perfect milk tea. Finally, the salted cheese topper is added to the top with a dash of matcha.
Nice staff and fast to order and easy parking lot to se and get into . Nice decorations Wi-Fi available very lit up room tables and chairs are comfortable with a cushion on them. Floors are a few dancing in it but kid friendly area and they have games for the kids. Rewards are available and Uber eats are available. I like that you can adjust your ice level and your sugar level and they have different labels. You can read for a different allergy.. I would feel that they need to do more dairy free drinks available.

Never disappoints! They use real lemons in the drinks, so good! It was quick service, a little slow but accepted. I got lemon green tea with boba, loved it! They also make egg waffles, it smelled really good but I was so full from dinner. Plenty of options to choose from, you'll definitely find a drink that you'll enjoy! Spacious with great lighting to chill. Good place for studying.
Service is friendly, and they always make my drinks perfectly. I love that they have free wi-fi and plenty of seating. It's clean and comfortable!
I have finally uploaded an updated version of the Happy Lemon menu if anyone is curious of the prices here. This is a great boba shop, and the prices are good, considering how pricey boba is becoming. My milk tea with salted cheese topping came out to be $6.50, which is relatively cheap compared to other places, I believe. If you're like me, who likes a bit of sweetness but not too much, 50% sugar level is good. My friends told me 25% is pretty bland. Also, the salted cheese topping is a great topping bc it adds a bit of saltiness to the sweetness. Also, there's only one size for all drinks, but I think the price matches the quantity. This shop looks like a great study spot. It wasn't busy when I went, but it was a Wednesday afternoon. It's clean and smells nice too, and there are some board games in the corner. Also, the parking spots are pretty narrow, be careful with parking.
This is a great spot for milk tea. The service is quick and friendly. There are many indoor tables for small and large groups. Highly recommend for the locals and visitors.

I had such high hopes for the famous Happy Lemon, but I was sorely disappointed because the drink I got tasted so unpleasant. I wanted to try a lemon drink since it is their specialty. My friend first ordered the freshly squeezed lemon black tea. I thought it was okay; it tasted like a muted lemon ice tea. Because it wasn't that great, I decided to order a blended whole lemon drink: the fresh lemon green tea. I asked the barista the difference between the squeezed lemon and blended whole lemon drinks, and she said the blended whole lemon had more of a lemon flavour, while the squeezed lemon had more of a tea flavour. I thought the lemon had tasted pretty muted in the squeezed lemon drink, so I decided I wanted a stronger lemon flavour. The whole lemon drink turned out to be so sour and overall very unpleasant. I made a face every time I drank it, and I made myself drink all of it especially because it was almost $7 (with no tapioca). My friend had the same thoughts on it. It somehow tasted worse than most lemon drinks I have tried. We came here to study, and the atmosphere was okay for it. They have large tables, wifi, and some outlets on one wall. It was loud at times but quiet at other times on a Saturday afternoon, so that was really better than I had hoped.
We had ordered the house Thai tea with 50 % sugar. The tea tasted super bland and with zero sugar in it. I had to go home and put more sugar in it for it to be bearable. We ordered 3 drinks and none of us liked our drinks. The Pearl boba was over cooked, mushy, and flavorless. Do I recommend this place? Unfortunately no.
5 stars for the bubble waffle with taro puff cream, my go to order. A great pick me up treat. Their boba and milk tea is a solid 4 stars. It's never done me wrong. It's well done and consistently good compared to many other bubble tea franchises. I've tried the tiramisu salted cream dip for the waffles and it was a bit runny and the taste wasn't to my liking, and they happily replaced it with a puff cream of my choosing. Parking is great at this complex and the interior has plenty of space to sit with games available.
I love coming here! For a while this was my favorite boba place in Austin. I enjoy the music selection when I came in and loved that they had games available. I come here often so I know I'll be back! Service is always fast and delicious.
First time here at this specific location - our fave boba spot and this location has a lot of seating. They had some vendors the day we went - they were selling diy kpop stuff which were cute! I always get the milk tea with puff cream - sooo yummy! We had to order on a machine and it was easy peasy. Wish we had this store in SA. read more
What do you get with kumquats, puff cream, and calligraphy? I came to Happy Lemon for a calligraphy class and finally got to try their items all at once. This place is your bright and shiny boba tea shop. I got the kumquat lemon green tea with leches jelly (I added strawberries to mine). If you love citrus, this is the drink for you for sure! If was tart bug not too bad on the pallette. I also got the original bubble waffle with puff cream. I loved how my waffle was sitting while I practice calligraphy and never lost it's taste or texture. The puff cream was so tasty And you get a good quantity. The puff cream had the taste of whipped cream, vanilla, and a little bit of lemon. I would get the puff cream again and again hands down. The service was good and didn't take too long. I like the airy and open atmosphere inside. Also the bathroom was clean!. read more

I was in the neighborhood and stumbled across this new boba spot and thought I would give it a try. Definitely glad I did because I loved the drink I had! The ambiance is definitely cute inside and the cashier was very patient while I read the menu. I had the Boba milk tea with puff cream with 100% sweetness. I thought it wasn't too sweet for me and I loved the chewiness of the boba. I will be back to try more on the menu! read more
A friend and I visited this place and loved the experience! As soon as we walked in, my friend and I am couldn't help but admire the cute decor/aesthetic of the place and how sweet it smelled inside. The staff there was very friendly and patient as we asked her questions. She recommended we try the Okinawa milk tea with less sweetness % and both of us ended up ordering it. I was actually surprised at how good and refreshing the Okinawa Milk Tea was! We also saw they had games and played Connect 4 and UNO as we caught up on life and drank our boba. I love Happy Lemon so much. It's my absolute favorite bubble tea place. I was very, very excited when this second Austin location opened last year and waited 3 hours to be first in line when they opened. Happy Lemon is the best bubble tea you can get. Best quality. Best taste. Best waffle. Best tapioca. This particular location has the friendliest people! The store is always clean, bright, and inviting. They have a fun photo wall in the back. They have a TV with order progress where you can track your order as it's in the queue and being made, which is fun. Parking spaces in this plaza are on the narrower side but there are usually some empty spots. read more
This place is sooo cute adorable place !! My kids got the OG Bubble Waffle and the Puff Cream. I got the Oreo one & ate it with their Puff Cream. DELICIOUS !! But I LOOOVE sweet things. LOVED the waffles buuuut the drinks were not that good. Sorry ! If it was drinks alone, I would have given the place 2 stars. Maybe it was what we picked. But I ordered the Ube Smoothie and it was meh. My daughter ordered a Oreo Lemonade, that was disgusting! We ended up throwing it away and she took my Ube Smoothie. The overall concept is adorable ! The waffles come with a cute container that if you flip it over it's a lemon happy face. They had games that we played at our table. Service was... interesting? We kept asking questions like does any of the creams go good with the Oreo waffle & he would say I don't know. We kept asking questions & the reply was I don't know. First off, this place has options. So many different drink choices, and you can alter the ice and sugar content to degree unlike any other drinkery in Austin. Plus you can add different types of cheeses to your teas. Yes, you read that correctly; cheese in your tea. Will definitely try it next time. Today, I ordered the Passionfruit Mango green tea with 25% ice and 50% sugar. It is incredible! Tastes very fresh and I love the passionfruit seeds included. Not too sweet also. They also have what are called bubble waffles. Which can be flavored. I got the original with the tiramisu dipping sauce. The waffle is fluffy and light, with a good bit of crunch to it. And the dipping sauce is so rich and creamy. This would be a great unique date spot. read more

THE BIG: My favorite bubble waffle place has a place closer to me now! Located in Central Austin near Highland and inside the Linc shopping center right next to FedEx. Plenty of parking and spacious inside. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here on opening day and they were doing bogo teas! Got myself a unsweetened ube smoothie with ube cream and lychee jelly yumm. Got the wife a unsweetened green milk tea with aloe. Both were great. Unfortunately only the original bubble waffle was available but they're ramping up soon to have other flavors out. I can't wait! my fav is the oreo. THE FINAL BAMBOO: The damage done for this round was ~$8 for two bubble teas. Great opening offer with bogo teas and I'll definitely be back for the bubble waffles. read more
I am so happy a Happy Lemon location opened up in central Austin! I was order #7 on opening day, was very happy with my strawberry shortcake and Okinawa Roasted milk tea. The bubble waffles here are also AMAZING. The store itself is very organized, clean, and cute. They have a display with order statuses, so it's easy to see where your order is. I'll definitely be coming back many, many times. read more

Happy Lemon is now in Austin - this drink hub where you can find all of the frappe, fruit tea, freshly squeezed lemon WITHOUT added sweetener (you can adjust your sugar level or have honey instead) and more is finally here. We had this in the Philippines and surprised to see the franchise hub in Austin. The service was really good - approachable, friendly, direct to the point and when we said no sugar it's just pure lemon and black tea , it is what you get! The place was spacious, all indoor seating and if you need a place to hangout, study, or work at - I think place is pretty neat and quiet. read more

Went on the second day of their grand opening and got BOGO. I like the boba a lot! It's not to squishy, not too hard and the amount is just right too. Just make sure not to wait too long to drink or the boba will become hard and not as enjoyable. The cashier lady was nice. I didn't write my name or number on the raffle ticket, so she gave me another one. I got Ube-this was very rich and milky. Definitely get this only if you're feeling hungry, but the taste is great and I love the color. Okinawa Roasted Milk Tea-great tea flavor and keeps you awake. Our friends brought us here and I had the matcha bubble waffle with puff cream. It was SOO good! The matcha flavor is really subtle in this but definitely made it delicious. I wanted to go back the next day. I am a huge fan of boba tea so I can't wait to try their tea next. read more

Super cute bubble waffle and bubble tea cafe! It's super clean and the drinks are really good. I got the kumquat lemon green tea with lychee jelly and it tasted really fresh. The bubble waffle was made to order and comes with your choice of dipping sauce. I think it would be a cute place to study or do some work. read more
We ordered the original waffle with the salted cheese, but I've also tried the matcha waffle. The waffles are super light and have a crispy outer shell with a fluffy inside. I usually split one, but it would be very easy to eat the whole thing. The salted cheese is like a slightly sweetened cream sauce with a hint of salt. I also got passionfruit green tea with lychee bubble. this was sooo good and refreshing. I'm very glad I ordered half sweetness because it was very sweet as is. I will likely get the quarter sweetened next time if that's an option. I noticed there are a lot of people who bring their computers here to work. There are lots of big tables and the wifi is solid. My only complaint is the place is always super cold so be sure to bring a sweater! read more

Walking jn, you're greeted by the sweet aroma of the waffles baking. I got the ube boba which was really creamy and tasty and tastes just like taro boba to me. The space and mascot is really cute and they have a pretty interesting and robust menu. Drinks came out pretty quickly and service was pretty good. read more

Get their boba waffle, and you'll love it! There is actual boba in each bubble. It's so delicious and dip it with salted cheese to make it even better. They do have a variety of different dipping flavors too. For their drinks, I like other boba places drinks better. However, their lemon yakult with aloe and wintermelon Milk tea are still good. Honestly I like this location because there are tables and counter next to the outlet so it's great for friends to hang out or study. Their services are good too. read more
Woah! It was super busy for a Sunday night - looked like college night, but we were craving Happy Lemon for a while and went in! It was loud, bright, and the smells were just right! Second time here and wanted the same thing as last time because OH MAN they were unforgettable- the Regular Waffle Bubble with Puff Cream & the Fruit Ube Boba Smoothie. Because it was sooo busy (like all of the tables were taken up), a couple of people had placed orders before us, AND they were going to close in the next 40 minutes or so, I started to get a bit nervous - wondered maybe if the quality was going to be different and/or if we were going to wait long..NOPE, Honey Lemon will treat you right! We didn't wait long at all and the taste of the waffle and the boba were just as I had remembered - delicious, light, airy, buttery, sweet but not too sweet (these descriptions are for both the waffle + the boba) Get them both please, the boba is incomplete without the waffle and vice versa. I hope they open more locations around town soon! read more
I like Happy Lemon a lot! In addition to all of the standard milk tea and fruit tea offerings, the whole blended lemon options are something special. The fresh lemon honey green tea is tart yet sweet with a smooth mouthfeel. This would be a solid option if feeling under the weather too. One cool feature in store is the screen displaying all the orders in the works and how much time has elapsed since ordering. There's also games available and it seems like a mellow hang out spot. All the workers I've encountered have been very welcoming and patient with questions. Overall, a great boba destination! read more
