Happy Lemon where have you been! After hearing all the hype from my coworkers, I had to try Happy Lemon. I got the Okinawan milk fresh milk tea. It was creamy and the brown sugar tastes exactly like the Okinawan brown sugar! We got the bubble waffle and it was crispy and chewy at the same time! The dipping sauce thingy is really good and I highly recommend it. I had some leftover and actually put it on my pancake one time...that was pretty good. I'd probably buy extra the next time I go. In terms of location, they're "up town" and next to Goma Tei. Service was quick and fast and I love the shop, it's so cute. I'll be sure to visit again to try their other drinks. read more

We decided to multi task once we reached Pearlridge to save time. Hubs went to Happy Lemon while I went to pick up my on line order by Macy's. Where is it? By Ross Side of the mall so hubs could not find parking and kept circling. On the upper level the elevator was not working. Luckily he found his way down. He said the customer in front of him ordered 12 drinks and bubble waffles. He said a male employee left so she took care of the orders herself which is understandable for the long wait time. Despite my extra time shopping he was still waiting for his drink order when I called him. My mango matcha was divine and I drank half of it in no time. I checked the label: regular sugar... no wonder it was delicious especially slurping up the bits of what tasted like little cubes of sweet mango. To temper the high sugar once reaching home I poured in some sparkling canned mango juice and drank half of that. I then added my left over coffee with protein that I never got to finish that morning. Still yummy. Must be that mango flavoring is intense. Moral of this review... I could get 3 drinks out of a mango matcha to prolong the yumminess or... I need to make sure my drink order has a minimum amount of sugar and no ice. Either way, it's a really tasty cold beverage. Perhaps three employees would help in case one disappears for awhile. Never can tell how busy it will get during the lunch hour window. read more

It started as a 5 star visit, the cashier took my order, repeated it back to me cashed me out, and gave me my receipt. I watched as they prepped my salted matcha and made my yummy waffle. The drink came out quickly, however the waffle took a little longer (as expected), not a problem. Here is where we lost some stars: the young woman behind the counter was using a tooth flosser in full view of everyone in the store. Not only was she flossing her teeth, but she was walking around behind the counter and talking to her workmates. I was thankful that my waffle was already being cooked, and cringed at the thought of anyone else's food being prepared while she flossed nearby. When I heard that Happy Lemon has a new location in Pearlridge Shopping Center you know how excited I am since this mall doesn't have very much tea places that I love personally and as I frequent the Night Market which is located right outside TJ Maxx parking it was the perfect opportunity as Happy Lemon is located on the ground floor just a few doors down. Scanning their menu is quite amusing to see their logo representing the best seller which seem to outnumber ones without the logo only justifying the popularity them entire menu really are with us all. Thank goodness I noticed an imagine on the tv screen of their Strawberry Matcha Latte that I couldn't resist and the beautiful gradient layers is so beautiful and I love how it all works so yummy and perfect. I'd like to say it's smaller than the other location but I guess it's about the same as seating is quite limited and Pearlridge does offer some seating throughout the mall and it's been a couple months since it's opening I can see that it's still the favorite spot for some refreshing sip and I can agree that I'm so happy that they're here. They opened a location at Pearlridge and it's by TJ Maxx. They had a few people in line when I went , but it wasn't too bad. I usually get their bubble waffle with the puff cream. I love their bubble waffle, because they make theirs super crispy. When you dip it into the puff cream it's the best. We had lunch before we came here, so we were full and didn't get one. I did however get a drink. I got the G3 Mango Yakult Smoothie $8. It was nice and refreshing with bits of mango in it. I liked that it wasn't overly sweet. Small storefront at the mall designed for to-go orders. They have bobba offerings, matcha and smoothies. We go for their bubble waffles, which are made to order like their drinks. Another place for a once in awhile treat. We left with two drinks and two original bubble waffles for about $32. The service was quick and efficient which is good for the crowd that line up beyond their exit. I'm glad to see them busy. read more

I wish though, they put a little bit more of puff cream as it was real settle. I can't have very much caffeine so this was the perfect option for me. Located on the ground floor of "Uptown" Pearlridge Center, in the TJ Maxx wing, there was a line of customers outside the shop on 9-21-24. We missed the Grand Opening by a week - shucks! We could have gotten tote bags! Oh, well... I was just going to get a plain drink, but I saw a picture of Strawberry Matcha Latte. I asked if they could make it non-dairy... yes... Soy milk has an upcharge. I got regular ice and regular sweetness because when the ice melts, the sweetness decreases. It was good that I took a wider boba straw because most of the chunks of fresh strawberries could get through it! Yum! Note: I tried to use the app to order ahead, but it doesn't work in Hawaii... uhg! I'll have to wait and use it in San Jose or Pleasanton, California... LOL! Service was efficient and pleasant for the crowd that they had to interact with... Most people were probably waiting for the bubble waffles... which takes a while to make... and smells delicious! I was hungry and the mall was closing and decided to get a bubble waffle w salted cheese. They make each waffle fresh as it's ordered so you get a fresh hot bubble waffle! The winner was the salted cheese dip for the waffle. The line was looong before closing, almost felt bad for how hard the employees were working, everyone was so friendly and nice. I finally don't have to go to Ward for my Happy Lemon fix. There were tables inside and a bar-like seating area. During the opening weekend, Happy Lemon offered an awesome BOGO deal. I got my classic drink, the green tea with salted cheese foam. My husband got the mango lemon slushy and his favorite, the original bubble waffle with puff cream on the side. I was excited of having a Happy Lemon open closer to my home. Unfortunately not a fan of this location. My bf ordered a strawberry shortcake smoothie for me. I normally get it at 75% but it was way too sweet at this location as compared to the other locations. Consistency was also watery. I also wanted boba but they were out so they convinced him to get lychee jelly instead, telling him it's good with lychee jelly. It was not. I had to pour out the $1.00 lychee jelly. It was very disappointing. Also, I found upon pouring out the lychee jelly, that the puff cream didn't really mix with the smoothie. It was sorta just clumped on the sides. Hopefully this was a one-off situation, but I don't think I'll be ordering their smoothies again. If I want a watery drink, I can get a tea or literally anything other than a smoothie. Only saving factor is their egg waffles which is good and consistent with their other locations. read more

I'm am not happy about the long wait I had to endure at Happy Lemon. I was told upfront that the wait was approximately 15 minutes, but this wait could have been avoided if they stopped taking new orders and concentrated on getting their existing orders out. My total wait was closer to twenty five minutes because the girl at the front counter taking orders forgot to bring the labeled cups to the back counter where the drinks are made. Additionally, the employee who forgot to bring the cups to the back counter needs to replace her gloves when she switches from taking money to making food/drinks. It's a health hazard and it's disgusting! Other than that, the bubble waffle with the puff cream was tasty, but a little overpriced. Then again, everything on the island is expensive, so I guess it's on par with other mall snacks. read more
