The guy who makes the coffee with the short black hair he is very rude. He seems racist, he didn't speak or anything. Not a great first experience. P.S I never ordered a beverage from there so you need to watch your camera again because you referring to the wrong person. You can't tell me what type of experience I had at that establishment. Just the manner you replied shows me you are hostile & your male barista is rude as a previous stated. read more

I came here twice during my visit here in Chicago around 8 am. The ambiance is nice, and there seems to just be one barista. They have a lot of really unique flavors and lattes which I all wanted to try. He helped me decide between a couple of drinks and I went with grandmas bag in the end which is their most popular drink and a pretty safe selection. It's a butterscotch and vanilla latte with it which was so smooth and not too sweet. The second morning, I had the ube latte which was also good, but I felt like the ube was not as flavor forward and I preferred grandma's bag more. Overall, I feel that this place has really unique selection of drinks and also snacks (I picked up a pistachio dark chocolate protein bar) and also nice decor that could be good for someone dining in. read more

I'm so happy I decided to stop in and get coffee from here! Nowadays it is hard finding a good barista and the gentleman working that day made sure to get my coffee perfect! I dropped by on the morning of Tuesday, May 5th. After looking at some reviews online, I decided on The Lumberjack hot latte. I was not disappointed, from the first sip, to the last drop. Service was friendly and prompt. Bonus, I added a blueberry danish that was quite tasty. I will certainly stop back by the next time I'm in the city. Regrettably I didn't snap any photos. read more

While traveling in Chicago, we visited this coffee shop in close proximity to our hotel. The coffee was great! We got the signature honey iced latte, which was served in a bear cup. It was so cute and tasty! We initially wanted to stay and enjoy the coffee there, but the lobby appeared to also be the lobby of an apartment building with many people in and out. This coffee is fuego. Just sucks how there's no bathroom. Unless I'm missing something. It's located in a hotel lobby, so I get it. Lots of tables and study areas. I stopped by here on a whim since coffee sounded good and it was a great decision. I ordered an iced lumberjack latte which came with maple syrup and wood smoked cinnamon powder. It reminded me of a Spanish latte which is probably why I liked it so much. I also tried some of my boyfriend's hot bee sting latte which I ended up liking even more. It had chili-infused honey and sweet honey so each sip had a bit of a kick from the chili. The indoor space is gorgeous and it even has an indoor patio area. I would recommend hanging out here and grabbing a coffee for a slow morning. read more

Coffee is supposed to make you happy. Happy Monday could even work on crappy days, like Mondays. It has a few locations, including this one on LaSalle in River North. A small place but there's enough room for a few tables and couches. The prices are pretty okay for the area, and for being hipster cool and stuff. Be sure to get here early enough. It's open daily but it closes early, at 3 p.m. This is a good place for those who want to get some of the more interesting coffee flavors and unique stuff. For the area, the prices are okay. It's about $6 for a latte or something like that. Got the Purple Haze Latte. This is made with hazelnut, oat milk, and ube. Has a real cool purple color. The snack options include a few cocoa bars and pastries. It's $3 for a Mezcla Puff Crispy. These ones are the plant based options. Good stuff to get any day and not just on Mondays. It has pretty limited hours, so you have to go early it seems. There's a few other locations of this, so if you're closer to another one go to wherever. read more

Awesome coffee and service. DRINKS // I ordered a 12 oz Bee Sting, which is one of their house special drinks with chili-infused honey, espresso, and cinnamon. My first sip had me swooning - it was delicious! There was a nice light burn in my throat from the chili-infused honey, but the kick was well-balanced out from the sweetness of the honey. I also got two bags of their whole beans: their medium roast for myself, and a bag of the bourbon barrel-aged beans as a gift for a whiskey-loving friend. I'm enjoying the medium roast. My friend said their barrel-aged beans had a strong whiskey smell/taste and "tasted straight up like liquor". Maybe it'll be good in some coffee-alcoholic cocktails. SERVICE // Service was great! The barista was friendly and clearly knew how to make a good latte. I also appreciated that they were honest with me when I asked how old the barrel-aged beans were - they said the beans were decently old, but due to the barrel-aging process, the flavor shouldn't be significantly affected. AMBIANCE // I stopped by on a weekday morning and saw a few others working inside on their laptops. It does seem like a nice place to get some work done - there were plenty of other open tables and seats in the main shop area. I ended up sitting in the back patio room, which had a lovely summer-y vibe to it: cushioned wicker and outdoor furniture (I claimed one of the comfy egg chairs for enjoying my Bee Sting), green "grass" carpeting and accents from real plants, a huge glass garage door wall letting in the day's sunshine while keeping out the wind and bugs, and music softly playing. Also a great spot to read a book or catch up with a friend. read more

Great service and cozy ambiance. I ordered a double shot of espresso on ice with a splash of milk and the espresso was very smooth and tasty. The barista was attentive and asked if the milk level was ok. This would be a great place to work, study or catch up with friends. Study time! This is a really cool place to meet with friends and study or knock out some work. They have a lot of yummy coffee items and (my opinion, a big plus is that) you can add THC to any of your drinks *wink* They have a adorable patio that has a beautiful aesthetic and it's a place where you can study but it's not very noisy nor distracting either. The service was good but there was only one person working, so you had be patient. Definitely check this place out when you want a nice place to work/study with a good cup of coffee. read more

Did a little coffee date with my husband here this morning! This is on the bottom floor of an apartment so we got to see lots of cute dogs come and go. We split the last croissant and had some lattes. Barista was super nice. He did let us know that they were out of the cute little bear bottle but that's ok! I got the thyme is honey latte (decaf), and my husband had a caramel latte with extra caramel and espresso. We both agreed that the croissant was just ok but the lattes were so amazing it totally made up for it. I hate when lattes are watery or the decaf tastes weird, but they were really really good. Didn't have to wait long for them either. And the aesthetic is very fun, love the plants. Glad we came here! read more

We went in around 9am on a Wednesday. It was not busy at all. I ordered the birds and the bees which was absolutely delicious. The price was comparable to other places in the area. I will note it did take us a while to get our drinks, but only one person was working and she was doing the best she could. There are plenty of places to sit inside. This would be a great place to come to work during the day as it wasn't too noisy. read more

Gonna have to call this place "Not so Happy Monday." This might be one of the more disappointing places we went to during our Chicago jaunt. Not that it was bad but the reviews and photos of latte art set expectations high. It's located in the lobby of an apartment type building, which is kind of odd, yet perhaps normal 'round these parts? The space is open and inviting with plenty of seating, albeit mostly communal. If you can snag a couch, you're in for a comfy place to sip your coffee. They seem to focus on what I would consider high end foo foo style dranks. My babygirl was looking forward to some exceptional latte art thanks to the photos. Once I saw the barista cap our drink, despite telling him it was "for here." I knew he was trying to hide his lack of skills. No legit latte art here. Not that there needs to be but if that's what you're going to use to reel in customers, you need to deliver. The drink itself was fine if you like sweet drinks. At $7.55 it better be. As my wife noted, "it's like having a dessert and coffee at the same time." What can be better than that if you got a sweet tooth? Just don't engage with the rude ownership and/or business managers, or else they'll sour your thoughts of the place. read more

Nice spot to enjoy a leisurely weekend, not good if you need your coffee / order quickly. I've tried the shop 3 times and twice waited 30+ minutes after ordering (I checked in with the barista to make sure my order was coming) and eventually ended up cancelling...hate to leave a bad review, just not the spot if you're on the go. I came here to cowork with two friends, and it was a lovely spot with plenty of light, variety of seating options, and good Wi-Fi. While I was coworking, I got the Thyme is honey iced latte, and breakfast sandwich. It was a delicious latte that came in an adorable bear cup. The latte gave me enough energy to focus and was not overly sweet which was nice. My friend got the chai latte and she said it was also very good and well balanced, not overly sweet and not overly spiced. The breakfast sandwich was cheesy and delicious and the brioche bun was perfect. Overall, Happy Monday is a great spot to get some work done, grab a coffee and a bite to eat to start your day. I highly recommend stopping by and I will definitely be back for another coworking day. read more

I'm very grateful that a couple who lives in this building suggested I try this coffee bar because it's dog friendly. I've visited twice this month with my Great pyrenees mountain puppy and he and I give 5 paws up for the excellent service, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere and creative and tasty coffee beverages. I've tried a butterscotch iced latte and iced honey latte so far and everything tasted yummy Bring your canine friend here...it's absolutely worth the trip. I feel bad posting a review because I never got to drink the coffee. I arrived on a weekday right at opening time, about 2 min after actually. The batista was just arriving and setting up. He was clearly disheveled. So, I sat and gave him some time. Other patrons came in and lined up, so I was now delayed. He didn't recognize that, so I waited a little longer as I wasn't in a huge hurry. Then, a few more patrons came in and he told them he was overwhelmed with a large order and wouldn't be able to tens to them for a while. They left, and so did I. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped by Happy Monday Coffee on a Saturday morning. We loved the overall design of the place, this would be a good spot to work from if you are a remote employee! We both ordered breakfast sandwiches and I also got the Thyme is Honey iced latte. Everything was delicious and getting the latte served in a honey container was a super fun experience. They only had one employee working and the cafe was busy so the drinks and sandwiches took longer than we anticipated but I will definitely be going back. read more
