Go early if you want a seat because they get busy pretty quick. The crowd is trendy, young professionals and juxtaposes with the legs of cured meat hanging from the ceilings and walls. The upstairs room is more quiet since it doesn't have a bar and it's decorated in bright red and black...very MOD. Overall, a great place to go to for a night out.

My friend and I went to eat at Fuxia after receiving a recommendation from our French photography teacher who promised that we would enjoy delicious Italian food. We arrived at around 6:15pm. The kitchen was still closed at that time; the waitress said it would open at 8pm. After being given a menu we were not able to order drinks for another half an hour due to a combination of absence and inattentiveness by the wait staff. It took another half an hour and two requests for our drinks arrive. The Stromboli cocktail was good, but could have been fresher. At 7:15pm, we finally ordered the Shrimp and Asparagus Risotto. Thankfully, the food came out very quickly and was incredibly delicious. The shrimp was not over cooked and was just enough for the portion. The asparagus was tender, juicy, and sweet. The risotto itself was perfectly cooked and tossed in a lovely, buttery sauce. All three components worked together very well and was definitely enough to make us forget about the slow service. I would definitely recommend Fuxia for delicious Italian food, but not before 7pm.
