I've been on a Pho tasting spree lately, looking for the best spot. We came here during the week so it was fairly empty. It's clean enough and the waitress was friendly. My husband tried the fried rice with chicken and it was amazing! I had a BBQ pork dish and it was just ok. It needed more sauce because the pork was a little dry. We dropped by today all the way from Stockton. We ordered a #20 and #23 on top of some spring rolls. The Peanut sauce was yummy and spring rolls were fresh. The broth was delicious, portions of meat were very generous. The noodles were very delicious as well. The oldest gave iPho 5 out of 5 while my youngest was bold enough to give out our PHONE NUMBER cause she loved the Pho so much. Lucky for me the waitress didn't catch on to what she said or that could of been embarrassing for us adults. I normally order pho from this restaurant because this is the closet Vietnamese restaurant to where I live. For the most part, I enjoy the pho here. A lot of meat and rice noodles. However, today I also ordered pork spring rolls. I found it odd that there weren't any vermicelli noodles in the spring rolls. Instead, I felt like they substituted it with bean sprouts which made it wobbly and clumsy. The taste of the rolls just isn't the same without the vermicelli noodles. Not sure if they ran out of the noodles or too lazy to put it in or if it's just how it's normally made by this restaurant but the bean sprouts made it watery. read more

The prices are a bit high for me. If I'm just buying pho it's fine, but when it comes to the other dishes it's unreasonable. I always get the beef pho (number 1). It's my favorite. Very flavorful and I find I don't need to add much because it's tasty as is. I like all the boba flavors and different jellies. The way they make their drinks tastes really good. My favorite drink when I'm sick is the hot honey lemon tea. I like spring rolls but theirs is disappointing, small and there's no noodles; there's just veggies and a few shrimp pieces. Other than that I enjoy the shop. It's cute and the owners are friendly. It's a family owned place and I've never had issues with the customer service. Also, they've added hot pot to their menu! They are closed at 9:30. Not 10 like it's posted. Had a to go once. It was a verm salad with pork. All I got was a bed of freaking lettuce.! No noodles! No pork. Just lettuce! This is easily the best pho I've had in Modesto, I really wanted to give them 5 stars but I called in my food an hour before I needed it ready and the guy on the phone confirmed the time and when I got there they had lost my order so I waited the 15 minutes anyway so I took 1/2 star for that. Their fried egg rolls are super good and their dipping sauce is perfectly balanced between sweet and hot, lots of places get this wrong. Their rare steak pho had excellent flavor and I'm kind of a germaphobe and here at iPho they chili sauce and hoisin in packets and not little cups they make there so props for that! $16 seemed like a lot for egg rolls and pho to me so that's why the other 1/2 star is missing, but I will say this, I'll be back for carry out and probably dine in too, don't mind the higher prices when it's this good. read more

We came across this place while shopping for shoes across the street. It looked small from the outside, and we are always willing to try the small family restaurants. I've been looking for a place to get pho that is a balance between good food and a clean restaurant. This place fits the bill. I ordered the vermicelli spicy beef and my wife ordered the vermicelli spicy seafood. Both were good size bowls. Mine was on the sweet side and not too spicy, which I liked . I enjoy spicy food but not the heat, and this was a good balance. Service was not fast, but was typical of pho restaurants. The staff was friendly and quick to respond to our requests. Unlike american restaurants where the waiter constantly checks on you, the staff here allowed us to eat in peace. We will definitely come here again! read more

I came here for the first time off a recommendation from a family member and I will never come back. Under the section rice plates, it says you can substitute steamed rice for chow mien or fried rice for additional charge of $1.50. However, when i asked the waitress to substitute my rice for chow mien, she informed me that she would have to double check with the kitchen to see if the cook would do it. I said, well it's on the menu that you're allowed to substitute with an additional charge. She said yes, but the Chef's are weird about it and i have to ask if it is okay. She then went to ask and told me that the chef would not substitute for the chow mien. I don't understand what's the difference between putting my teriyaki chicken next to rice and putting it on a plate with noodles. This was false advertisement as well as terrible service. If the chef refuses to make special orders it should not be on the menu. Especially when i would be paying extra for the noodles in the first place. I then changed my order to a beef plate that came with noodles. There was barely any meat on the plate for it to be an $11 plate.
