I felt a little spoiled because the laundromats on Oahu, dryers are 4 minutes a quarter. Here it is about 2 minutes a quarter. However, there are lots of things at Happy Valley Laundromat that I appreciate that I didn't have at my old laundromats. Here, its very spacious. There are 2 big rollup doors on opposite sides plus windows, so its nice and airy and breezy. I hate doing laundry where its stuffy or no airflow. Especially when taking hot clothes out of the dryer and folding those hot clothes. There are lots of washing machines and dryers. That's awesome! They have rolling carts available, each with a rack to hang stuff. That's much appreciated. I had a problem with a dryer last week accepting my quarters or being able to choose the heat level. I usually will call the number posted on the sign to tell them but that day I didn't. It was my first time here and I didn't know if that was just the norm for most of the equipment. I came back today and noticed they replaced the panel for the dryer. I don't know how long it was broken, but since there was no out-of-order sign last week, I assume it took a week or less for them to fix it. That's good! There's a vending machine for laundry soap and also snacks. Next to it a soda machine. They also have a TV, a restroom and a little play area for kids. Only thing, there is not too many parking spaces. And the price of dryers I don't mind, as long as the dryers are working nice and hot. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. My story: My coins got stuck in the slot and was unable to use the washing machine. I put my coins in the respective place and proceeded to slide in the metal thingy and it couldn't. I went to the door where someone could help me, but no one was there. Luckily, a long time customer told me to try the next building over. I finally found someone to assist me. We walk back over there and he blames me for breaking his machine. OMFG!!! $0.25 for 2 minutes? WTH. We dried our clothes for an 1 hr each load and our clothes wasn't even dry all the way. It was STILL WET. We kept adding more quarters and it still wasn't dry. Neva coming back here again. Will gladly stay in Kihei to do laundry. read more

Traveling through Hawaii. Just got into Maui today. Desperately needed to do laundry. I get to happy valley laundry. Large with lots of machines available. I attempt to use change machine. Doesn't work. I call and ask why I can't get change. They have the change machine turned off. They turn it on remotely. I finally get change, so my partner and I load up three wash machines with clothes. One of his machines works, the second one will not accept quarters. So he has to pull all his laundry out and place it in a different washer, after having already added soap to the machine. The wash machine I attempted to use just ate my quarters and read "Err" every time I hit the change return button. I'm pretty irritated at this point, so I called the phone number again and explained that the wash machine had eaten my coins. I was told "Victor" would be down here shortly for an unrelated reason and could help me. It's now been 25 min. There's no Victor here. I tried calling again. Goes to voicemail. So after my coins disappeared into the machine, I had to pull out all my dirty laundry with soap on it and put it in a different machine. So yeah, out 2 loads worth of soap and $ I put in the machine. What the actual fuck is this place? What an awful operation and terrible service. Edit: my laundry was still dirty coming out of the wash. Also, $0.25 for 2 minutes? You can get 4 min for the same price in Waikiki. What a rip off. Don't come here. read more

This establishment does the job, to do laundry. There is just a few things that is constant challenge: 1. Parking limited. 2. Soap backing up the floor drain, with trash can & towels covering it. 3. Lack of staff presences, you must call a number if machines go wrong or money stuck in vending or laundry machines. Also trash bins and bathrooms can be left unattended, tip bring your own toilet paper. read more

My husband and I are traveling around the Islands and our stop in Maui has been so far good until this morning we stopped at this laundry mat and while we were there a homeless guy keeps bugging the customers asking for money. Their bathroom is felty and not soap or toilette paper We talked to the owner who happen to be very concern in some people wasn't wearing masks at the same token a couple started fighting in the back punching each.other using really filthy language and the owner will still not doing anything and limited to say if you have a problem call 911. Laundry facility needs work machines are broken over priced overall not recommend this place. I followed the other reviews and I'm not happy with their services. Never come back. read more

Today was my first time visiting a laundromat, since I'm now renting a place that doesn't have washer/dryer. I was really nervous, because I didn't know how to use anything..... so I went in, first off its open and airy and pretty clean considering it's open and lots of people use it everyday. Everyone minds their own business. I did have to ask a random person for help because I had no idea how to use anything and this will be my new place I'll be visiting once a week to get laundry done lol. read more

Little the worst laundromat for a multitude of reasons and this is only one of many. An absolute dump, horrid service, and shitty machines. Avoid this place at all costs. Worst laundry mat on Maui. I was so excited when this laundry mat opened close to my home. I have been there a few times and I was not impressed. It is unclean, unfriendly, and expensive. All these things wouldn't really bother me if the washer machines actually got my clothes clean, but the few times I have been there my close have come home with sand on them or hair that was obviously not mine, gross! Not to mention we needed to dry some towels and took them over there around 7:15pm (they close at 8pm) and there was a woman standing outside the laundry mat telling us that we couldn't use the dryers, because they were closing soon. I would recommend going somewhere else. I know I will. read more
