This is the apex of the mattress world; a product so sublime that the word "comfort" in its name understates the bliss one feels sleeping on it. We bought our mattress because I was ill and I knew the first time I tried it that I felt better. I knew then I needed the ability to precisely position and frequently adjust the mattress to the pain from my illness. Two months after buying it, I was diagnosed with the terminal illness ALS. So when a small glitch developed this week in the positioning system for me this was not just an inconvenience. It was a medical event. The delivery and installation fee was $149.99 (not including tip - customers only pay both after the installation is completed) and the delivery team accepted credit cards. They arrived 15 minutes later than the automated email notification had shown, but still arrived within the promised 2-hour delivery window. The team was efficient and completed the installation (including the bed frame setup) in under 30 minutes. [Items purchased]: Sealy Posturepedic Hybrid Norman 12" Medium Mattress Full Prime ($1099.99 discount included) + Basic Adjustable Base Full Prime (free advertised special) + mattress setup & haul away/adjustable base set up ($149.99 - pay at the time of installation) + basic waterproof mattress protector full prime ($49.99) + microfiber sheet set gray full prime ($49.99). [Conclusion]: Overall it was a solid experience and I can definitely see myself revisiting Mattress Firm if I ever need to test or purchase another mattress. However, I probably could have purchased the mattress protector and microfiber sheet set at a better price elsewhere.
