Wow! Haven't been since it was Super Star. The remodel is so nice and it feels like a different restaurant. Our first visit was on Mother's Day. We got there a little after 10. And by 10:20, it was full and they were on a waitlist. What I love about dim sum is the carts and how quickly you can get food. I've decided that dim sum is the perfect place to bring toddlers. You get your food within minutes of sitting down. And there is no waiting for food that your toddler gets bored. We got so much food ranging from shumai, chicken feet, Chinese broccoli, shrimp balls and so many items. We were in and out of there in about 30-45 minutes. I love how quick it is too. Star Kitchen, you now face some stiff competition! Thai place is clean and service is typical of many cart style dim sum. There are a couple dishes I still prefer at Star Kitchen like their roast duck and chow mein. Quality is there and each dumpling was amazing. The soup dumplings where juicy, and the siao mai was plump...like seriously big! The pork filling was juicy and savory! The roasted/crispy pork was salty but not overbearing with that typical Chinese 5 spice flavor. The turnip cake and rolled rice cake with xo sauce was to diet for! Heard the braised pigeon at Harbor Dim Sum and Cuisine was very authentic and quite good, so have to try it out on my own. The place was reasonably busy in early Sunday afternoon. Glad the dim sum carts were still around, so also ordered a few items since it has been a while since having dim sum last time. The braised pigeon here was of the Guangdong Zhongshan style, with crispy skin and tender and juicy meat, even the bones were kind of crunchy, bringing back the memory of the taste from yesteryears. For dim sum, ordered the shrimp rice noodle rolls, XO sauce turnip cake, steamed chicken feet in brown sauce and beef offal in stew. The rice noodle rolls were fresh from the steamer, with a soft, tender and slippery texture, not overly thick to be floury and not overly thin to lose its chewiness. Certainly one of the better rice noodles in town. The XO sauce turnip cake, steamed chicken feet and stewed beef offal were all a little spicy. With the signature taste of the XO sauce, the turnip cake did not need additional dipping sauce. The turnip cake was served in small cubes, with crispy and earthly exterior and soft interior, matching the savory taste of the XO sauce well. The chicken feet were tender, meaty and flavorful. Beef offal was aromatic, tender and chewy. A very satisfying lunch and no wonder it was quite packed in late afternoon. read more

Review is for their dinner service. I haven't been back to what used to be Super Star in a long time, and what a refreshing uplift of the remodel and new ownership. We were here celebrating a friend's dad's bday and had a really good early dinner. The decor is so nice and beautiful, the chairs are upgraded, the floor no longer the sticky industrial carpet... I still see a couple familiar faces working there for years and good to see them still working at the same location though different restaurants. I love the fried chicken, the daikon beef stew pot, the eggplant stew pot, the string beans.... Everything was so good! We like the clay pot rice but note that the chicken and mushroom one - the chicken does have some small bones in it. If you want no bones get the sausage one cuz the other ones either pork ribs also would have bones. Those take about 30 mins to cook so order ahead if you know you want them. Service was great and the meal was tasty. Def want to come back and try their dim sum next time, but dinner was a great meal celebrating the birthday papa! read more

This is a great Cantonese restaurant for authentic dim sum and Chinese cuisine. Love the new Chinese decor. Service is prompt and attentive which is not typically the came in Chinese restaurants. The servers are very fast and efficient. They pay close attention to details. We came here for the Dim Sum and ordered an assortment of dishes that satisfied my daughter's cravings for dumplings and noodles. They couldn't get enough of them so they must be good! The beef balls have great flavors but have stringy parts in the middle, which made it hard to chew. The beef noodles hit the spot with tender beef sliced and flavorful broth. Other customers ordered food from the main menu which looked so delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant if you want to impress someone with authentic Chinese food. Service was bad. We got seated in their supposedly vip room and there was no service at all. The dim sum steam cart and dessert came in once and never came back. We tried to order food off their regular menu but no one came in or check on us. The table next to us in the room had the same issue. After waiting for a bit for no one to come in we got up and paid the bill. 20% gratuity was add to your bill because we had a party of more then 5, but we had no services. Came by for a later weekend lunch and honestly, this is exactly what I want from a classic dim sum spot. We were seated quickly, and I love that they're old school with the carts coming around instead of QR codes or ordering off the menu (which you can still do if you want to order anything else on the menu that isn't on the carts). The carts came by and had a great selection of classic items. They were a little slow at times but we were on the later side of lunch service and it was relatively easy to catch someone's eye and have them come by the table. We grabbed baked BBQ pork buns, fried shrimp balls, har gow, siu mai, and xiao long bao and every single dish was fresh and hot! This isn't a fancy or trendy place, but that is definitely part of the charm. They have a large parking lot that they share with other businesses which makes visiting very easy. We went on a weekday in the afternoon so I'll imagine the dim sum carts weren't at full capacity. There were also a couple items that weren't available that were showing on the menu in my experience. Usually the weekday menu as less items than the weekend, but that'll be something I'll have to check out next time I go. I noticed a lot of items on the menu were the same items that they had at the location on Federal at Happy Cafe. I had previously had their pork and rice clay pot dish which I noticed so I'm very pleased to see that. I love the decor and the space. Wanted to try Harbor since new ownership. It was nice. The dim sum was good, but could tell small flavor differences. The tofu was less peppery, but saltier. We did have to request several dishes, but left full. I am personally pretty excited for a new dim sum to enter the Denver scene. I have enjoyed Happy Cafe so when I heard they were moving to a bigger location, I had to try their dim sum option. Found a 2nd good dim sum place in Denver's Chinatown. The restaurant is very clean and well staffed. The service is attentive. And while not full on Wednesday at lunch, there were 10 tables all with Asian patrons. A good sign that there is something good cooking here! Just updated the review. Upon reflection. This place has superior, parking, service, and cleanliness relative to the average Denver dim sum restaurant. The only negative for which I took away a star was the Chinese Broccoli was cool and not piping hot when I ordered it out of the cart. Walking toward the restaurant, I noticed the "Soft Opening" sign, which generally means "please be kind, we are still working on our dishes.", so I walked in without any expectations. And boy, was I wrong for not having any expectations! The place was almost completely packed, and the noises from the conversation at each table, the many carts workers were pushing, and the happy faces on people's faces as they are eating their food, made me realized this IS the new place in Denver where one can have dim sum and enjoy eating these bite-sized nuggets often filled with variety of meat choices. The various dishes I ate were delicious. From the siu mai, deep fried tofu, a variety of dumplings, to the salt & pepper shrimp and salt & pepper squid, and even complimentary salted egg custard dumplings, my table of 9 diners left feeling very satisfied and most importantly, happy. Happy we came to eat, and happy to have nice conversations with each other. This restaurant is not lack of lighting, and it is nice and clean. Each table has white linen and filled with plates and utensils, ready to welcome next group of diners. I love how they still have push carts for lots of modernized goodies. Like bbq Galbi, salt and pper shrimp, salt and pepper calamari amongst many baked pastries (sweet and savory). Their steamed carts have all the staples: shrimp dumpling, pork dumplings, shrimp or bbq pork rice rolls, chicken feet, scallop dumplings, lotus leaf wrapped sticky rice with sausage, pork and mushrooms. We had such a great time enjoying every bite. The service and atmosphere is as expected for a bustling Chinese dim sum spot. Our waters are always filled. Great variety and lovely company! This location shares a large parking lot with the surrounding businesses. Great Wall and Costco Business are a few. We called ahead and made a reservation. They were able to accommodate our large party by bringing us up into two tables. You can divide the checks per table. They push the items out on a cart and you're able to pick and choose what items you want from there. One of my friends who goes often knows what to order so we let them decide everything. Everything was fresh and flavorful! If there's something you want, that's not on the menu, they are happy to make a customized item for you. Very friendly staff and would definitely go again. It does get a little loud just because the room is not that big, but we could also hear each other and not feel like we were yelling. read more

The food was good but the delivery was a little disorganized, which I think will get better over time. We had a late lunch so the dim sum cart service was wrapped up and the options seemed a little limited. We later saw other people with menus but weren't offered menus to look at. We also had some items meant for the table next to us that were misdelivered to our table. Our favorite dish was the lobster. It was so good! Very well seasoned, would definitely get this again. Dim sum was good too. The spicy chicken was a huge portion and I had leftovers for days. The place is brought and clean. Very nice and attentive staff. Came back the 2bd time for dinner with my wife. She wanted chicken feet and try out this spot. I went without her the first time for lunch. Today's dinner: chicken feet , salt and pepper tofu , beef chow fun , eggplant and pork , steam chicken half with ginger and onion. I recommend all the dishes today except the steam chicken(ginger onion sauce was off, chicken was not free range). 35 yrs of enjoying the authentic asian cuisine scene all over the US , I can say I am satisfied with this restaurant in terms of service, ambience, and cleanliness. A new dim sum place worth trying! We went on a Sunday for dinner, no carts but you can order anything off the menu. The place is pretty simple with cloth style chairs, everyone is very nice. We had a little bit of everything and it was all delicious. Love all the dumplings, tofu skin with mushrooms, eggplant with shrimp, and shrimp crepe were my favorites. My family and I came in today to eat some dim sum. We figured we try Harbor Dim sum for once since the new ownership. But when it was time to check out. We paid on a card and was planning to tip in cash. One thing that bother us was the worker asking us if we are going to tip. I replied," yes, of course in cash." Then he walked to other employees and told them we didn't tip yet. So keep an eye of us even those we already paid for our meals. While I was packing up the leftovers, I can see them hovering over me to see if we tip yet. Like what's the rush? When I got up and left a tip of the table, they rushed over to our table and started talking in their language. Stating something about tip while we were still there and still at the table. Like what's wrong with you guys? No professorial at all. Acting like wild dogs. As an Asian American, it rude to harass people to tip what you want and annoyed them by keep asking for tip. Like of course everybody will tip. But harass them and annoying them after we paid for our meals is crazy. Pro: Food was good. Place looks great. We like to try out and support new businesses, so we decided to come here on a Saturday around noon. Glad that we did and didn't have to wait. We were seated right away, and the carts came quickly. Service was excellent and my water was always refilled. The food was all pretty good and fresh. My son, who loves Siu Mai, approved of the dish, although we both thought there was too much fish roe on them. I was not too impressed with the Rainbow Dumplings which had way too much dough and little filling, but they were pretty to look at and each dumpling had a different filling. We special ordered the Steamed Rice Crepe with Chinese Donut but was a little disappointed that the donut was not crispy at all. The Deep Fried Pork Dumpling was delicious, as well as the Har Gow, Baked BBQ Buns, Pineapple Buns, Soup Dumplings, and several other dim sum dishes. Located at the old super star restaurant, there was no doubt that super star had slipped in the last few years so I was excited it was getting fresh ownership and the web page looked promising. We've been eating dim sum in the area for over 30 years even though it takes us a little over an hour to get down there. What a disappointment Harbor is at this point The dim sum we had was good and hot for a change, but the selection was so small.the dim sum menu is non existent anymore so you have no way as a non Chinese to ask for dishes that aren't offered from the carts and no prices either.The choices were so small it really was a joke.Prices remain surprisingly high as well. Service was ok for non trained 20 somethings i guess, but I still prefer a well trained server. Bathrooms are disgusting. No decor except some neon in a corner and a ton of empty fishtanks......sad.....bummed...... read more

Went here for an event. The private room was full of garbage from the night before and they did not clean it until the start of the event. Likewise the staff wanted to use dishes from the night before, which even if unused given the state of the room is dangerous. We literally had to help bus the tables because the staff was so slow and late. Gross and unsanitary. The owner was unprofessional and unapologetic from start to finish. He either saw nothing wrong or did not care. The food is ok to good, I have eaten here previously, but given what I saw I would be concerned about cross contamination.
