Ugh another horrible experience at harbor freight. Went into this store on the 4th of July to use my 25% off coupon. as i arrived at the counter the women checker obviously wasn't happy to be working on the 4th. Told me to upgrade to a 20$ warranty using scare tactics to sell. "We just got one of these jacks back broken". Well don't want to buy it now thanks for the confidence in your products. Told the manager on duty more like a floor guy taller heavier set guy that i had been scared out of a purchase and here is my coupon for another customer. His attitude was disconnected and basically didn't care. Horrible place to shop happened to me before its like the dollar store of tool shops with people who literally are absent minded and rude. read more

Everything here is really cheap, but keep in mind you get what you pay for. It's like a knock off store, where you can find anything you would find at a hardware store, I think, but you won't recognize any of the brands. It's kind of weird to navigate and the atmosphere, well it's what you would expect from a knock off took store. They send lots of coupons, and have some in store, but the ignorance in the air negates the number of coupons they offer me. I went for a specific item but I think next time I'll just go to Home Depot. read more

Kathy the manager at this location was amazing! I was getting checked out today for an airless sprayer. I forgot my coupon for 20% off at home and she over heard me. The cashier rang me up and before he finished she told him a different way to ring me up which not only saved me over $40 but also included an insider track membership and since I shop here A LOT then it really benefited me. Let's start with a little background I am partner/owner in a custom home building company with my family. Next I've grown up around contractors, tools, lumber etc my entire life since my father built custom homes. I'm well aware about tools and machinery. Better yet after getting my BA in college is s pent 6 years doing corporate accounting for a well respected college with 150 campuses. I brought in my receipt to see if it had dropped as I was told by a subcontractor at the Rocklin location earlier. The associate was about to walk away from the register until I get worked in as he looked very bored (for a kid who probably isn't even 20 this comes easy in retail). I give him my receipt to check and he does his computer scanning the receipt and typing to say "nope it's still $349.99" I replied " ok then I'll call my sub guy and double check" meanwhile while calling on the phone he calls and upper manager for over to tell me how I'm wrong, yaya while I'm on the phone and that I need to move. Umm excuse you but I haven't finished my transaction where I was asking my sub contractor if he took a picture of the price reduction. Furthermore the associate had not given my receipt back and I'm disabled with a cane so it's not easy to move like a normal person. I was shocked at how rude I was being treated for a simple price checking to see if it had gone down and I was rushed, told to move so he could help the next person. How about opening up a second register when you have 3 employees standing around doing nothing and only one register open. Let's just say this may be the very close to my house but I will never have him be my cashier again and I will use lowes across the street which is easier for me since my house is on that side behind their. Quality customer service is the first line between a companies name and profit. You have this type of person treating customers this way especially one protected by the ADA and you can have a big situation on your hands especially because a 20 year old minimum wage employee is ignorant and rude. I didn't catch his name however since I was rushed but he was very young and very large in size. Don't throw stones when you live in a glass house. It's sad because I have two contracts signed to build two custom homes next year with our business and I'll make sure we take our money to buy anything elsewhere. I hope management reads this because I will be copying and pasting this to the ADA for a complaint. I will not be told to hurry up and move when it's still my turn nor will I tolerate the stupidity of the obvious came in hand means can't hurry. Or better yet you saw me get out of my car in front of the store doors in the handicap space when you should have been doing some work and not staring out the door. read more

Everytime I've come here it's been a waste of time and money. Just went here yesterday, only needed 2 screws and brought the size I needed in with me (was in the middle of putting together a bed frame). They directed me to the aisle I needed I found some that looked like the one I had with me and even asked the cashier guy (who told me where to find them) if they were the same he said yes. Instead of ringing me up he directed me to the other cashier who promptly ignored me to help another customer. She was so rude she didn't even acknowledge me. I finally asked the original cashier to please help me as I was in a rush (nobody else was in the store CMON). He rang me up and all that to get home to realize the $10 set of screws I bought didn't work! This ALWAYS happens to me when I go there (3 times) so I will never be back to this location - workers who don't help and don't know anything NO THANKS. read more

Although when you walk in this Harbor freight location has a Handicapped Sign they are NOT handicapped friendly!!! Yolanda which is a store supervisor was the worst!!! she made baby noises and cooed (loudly raising the attention of other customers), at my service dog after asking if she could pet and i said " no sorry , my dog is working" As an FYI for everyone do not distract service dogs!! your inhibiting their job they don't inhibit yours, they aren't in the store for you get over it!! Erica acted like a kid asking if she could pet my dogs ears and I again said " No sorry , my dog is working" then at checkout Alia made a mention that my dog was pretty and I said thanks and then Erica chimed in and said "yea she is and all I wanted to do was pet her ears!!" she said this so loud it was completely uncalled for and soo unprofessional again loud on purpose so other customers could hear!!! If your store is going to advertise that your Handicapped friendly , which you have to be by law if you want to or not!! Then you best hold it up!!! Yolanda being a supervisor acts so unprofessional and should not have a management position! As for all three of these people (Yolanda, Erica and Alia) again my dog is not there for you or your entertainment shes there for me, my service dog!! I should not have to go in the store and be harassed because you want to make fun of me and my service dog!!! I just want to say how evil it was for them to put a store so close to my house.... well evil in a good way, if you can imagine that. I love that place. I joined the Inside Track club for better prices and that was a no-brainer. I just went there again today. Every time I visit, I have to walk every single aisle just to make sure I am not missing something that I really need(want). Warning... like a candy store so be prepared and grab a cart. Love this place and the prices are fantastic. I bought a tile saw a few years ago for an incredibly low price and have tiled my kitchen, bathroom and have even used it to cut pavers for my walkway and it is still going strong( the price was less than a 4 hour rental fee from the local hardware store). If you need anything for home/auto maintenace, this is the place. read more

Terrible experience and customer service. I have never been treated more rudely than this. Clerk at the cash register was the most rude a****** I've met so far. I have received after Christmas sale in my email. When I got to the store clerk told me that they have discontinued this item a long time ago. My question is - why would you put an item 4 after Christmas sale when you already discontinued this item a long time ago. Also he was trying to sell me a different item that is more expensive and had less features. Also their inventory computer systems where showing that they have other locations who have this item in stock. I have called those locations "and to my surprise" none of them had those items in stock either. So from my understanding Harbor Freight is not putting out a fake sales just to get you to go to the store. read more

Best not to shop for expensive tools at Harbor Freight. The quality is questionable. In our case spent $800 on a 60 gallon air compressor only to have the equipment fail 8 days after the 90 day warranty expired. Tried to get Harbor Freight to help us with either support (left on hold for too long and disconnected too many times). Also just tried to find someone who could help us repair the unit (as it is too big and heavy to haul back). HF had no recommendations. No luck pursuing many vendors outside of Harbor Freight. Was told by HF employee at headquarters to TRY to get them to let us buy the extended warranty, but of course that meant hauling it back. Look elsewhere for expensive goods. OR if you're determined to buy there, be sure to include the cost of the extended warranty when price shopping other units. read more
