Awesome place, great for badminton practice. Felt like a child again. Good service and courts. Plenty of room and have rentals too.

If you are looking to just have some fun and learn to play this is NOT the place for you…read more Their website lists open play from 9am-1pm on S/Su. I tried calling ahead just to see if a court reservation was needed. I called their listed number on the website, their was no answer and no machine on Saturday or Sunday but we drove over anyway. There was no one at the front desk except for a bunch of teenagers playing with their phones. One of them was nice enough to advise us that open play had been cancelled due to a tournament and directed us to an employee. First employee we spoke to was too busy "running the check in desk" to speak to us. Second employee could not really speak English but did her best to answer our questions which were 1) do you have a calendar we can see that shows when you have open times and when they are closed for tournament Short answer no 2) is there a better contact we could call to get a live person or message that tells us up to date information so we don't have to drive all the way to the facility to find out they are closed Short answer no Essentially there is no communication with patrons about their open status and they did not seem interested nor apologetic for that situation. 1 star is being generous

Seattle Badminton Club is a great new addition to Washington's badminton scene…read more The facilities are really clean which is always a plus. Trash bins are set out by each court side so players can dispose used birdies, a really nice touch. The floor when I was there was swept two time, they really have being organized and clean down. Drop-ins are 7 dollars. The staff was super friendly as well, the people who opened this place play here on a regular basis and are very welcoming. The only thing that needs to be changed is the fact it's a little bit dim, needs brighter lighting on the courts. Come enjoy a super clean and fun new facility that I highly recommend if you're interested in playing Badminton.

You may run into someone you know from community and there's a nostalgia factor. This centralized gathering hub brings me back to camps and baggy pants and looney tunes shirts, breakdancing, Massive Monkey and free food. Every time I walk by the big hall by the entrance I am engulfed with memories of parties and food. I can smell the lumpia and pancit, barbacoa, Ezell's, Costco pizza, and home made ribs bought from Viet Wa and smoked. The ever lasting smell of Red Apple sides and Delite bakery empanadas and pastries further add to the memories. I remember randomly being invited to a Nigerian celebration and ate fufu balls, fish, and stews. Delicious! I appreciate the multigenerational care at Jefferson. It's a center where no one goes hungry, community looks after one another, and preschoolers to the ARC programs are supported. Yesler is a close second in Seattle for CC and Chinatown is third. Each has a special place in my heart and I appreciate everyone at Parks.

I primarily use for Toy Gym which is full of different types of vehicles (and once, a soccer ball.) It can be very popular - lots of kids on windy/rainy days. It's nice that the outside park is right there so you can switch gears depending on the weather. Sometimes the kids are rambunctious, that's no fault of Tot Gym but just an FYI.

We went for summer camp and my kids LOVED it -- it's pretty casual and definitely not as organized as other camp sites where there is a check-in, check-out system. We didn't think our kids would have enough to do for a full day camp here but they didn't mind it at all. Appreciate no strict rules and made for an easy atmosphere to play. We did ask for their Tax ID for tax purposes and they kinda put up a front about providing it (all other summer camps have it printed on their receipts). My little loved it so much that we signed up for classes. Appreciate the fact that everything is included and that you don't have to go out and buy your own racquets, equipment, etc. Wished that the classes came with a voucher or two for free play or something though so that she can practice. The prices for reserving a court is pretty pricey!!

We arrived mid-day on a Saturday, only to find that there were no staff present and the rental shop was completely closed. The entire gym was packed full of players and not a single employee. We checked around the entire facility, including staff areas, and even asked some regulars if they had seen anyone working--only to be told, "We've never anyone here on weekends." Without the ability to rent the gear we needed, we couldn't play at all. Our reservation--and our time--was completely wasted. If rental services and staff aren't available on weekends, that should be made very clear during the booking process. Extremely frustrating and disappointing.
