I made a reservation for Hard Rock Cafe because we had tickets for a show at Hard Rock Live later that evening. Unfortunately, no times were available after 5:45pm until about 7pm, which would be too late to start eating. That meant we were forced to pay $35 to park before 6pm. If I return to this music venue, I'll eat ANY WHERE ELSE so we can park after 6pm for free. Since we knew we were stuck paying to park, we arrived about 15 minutes earlier than our reserved time. The hostess gave me a ticket & directed us over to a line to be seated. The line was short but had purpose: we were asked to pose with a guitar for a photo & then given a card with a link to buy the photo. No clue what the photo looked like, because we were later confronted at our table to buy it & I refused out of disgust. I guess I forgot I was in Orlando & harassing tourists is the norm. I loved the decor here! So many rock & roll artifacts! We did spend some time after dinner browsing all the displays. The food was good. Over-priced bar food, but everything was tasty. Our server asked if I had a loyalty number, which I did from my infrequent visits to Hard Rock Tampa, so I got some points for our meal. When buying drinks at Hard Rock Live later, the bartender seemed to be irritated that I wanted to give him my member number and cashing out took longer because he made me wait. The price for a double was pretty reasonable, though. The acoustics at Hard Rock Live are literally the only reason I would consider returning. The venue is small so the show felt very intimate! That said, the rows were tight, and I'm petite. I doubt that a 6' man of some weight would be comfortable in those seats. Reminder: City Walk parking is free after 6pm. I'll definitely consider Hard Rock Live for future shows, and plan to eat before we arrive so I can park for free. Another note, Hard Rock is on the far side of City Walk, across the water, so maybe not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. read more

We ended up at Hard Rock Cafe Orlando after closing down the park, and it was a fun atmosphere to walk into at the end of the night. It's definitely loud, but we enjoyed the energy and vibe. Our server was friendly, but service was a bit slow at times. There were delays throughout the meal, including waiting longer than expected for things like our bill. The food was just okay--nothing terrible, but nothing that stood out either, especially for the price. I was really happy to find a solid vegan option at Hard Rock Cafe since plant-based choices aren't exactly abundant around CityWalk. I ordered the Southwestern Bowl (quinoa corn salad, pico de gallo, black beans, red cabbage, and mixed greens) and swapped the ranch for the red wine vinaigrette. It was delicious -- fresh, nutritious, and filling. My husband had the grilled salmon with sweet & spicy mustard glaze, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, and vegetables. He loved the glaze and said he wishes he could make salmon like that at home. We were seated right away on a Monday night and service was quick. The only downside is the noise level. It's a big open space with lots of people and the music turned up pretty loud, so it can be tough to have a conversation. But overall, it was a great meal and a welcome find at CityWalk. read more

Would have given this place a three star rating but honestly that extra star was cause of the service. I want to give Daniel our sever a shout out. He made sure we were taken care of in our visit. But the main reason for the original three star was the food was mid at best. Being from Miami and Messi being there when I seen they had a Messi chicken sandwich I definitely wanted to try it. Grabbed dinner here after a day at the Universal theme parks. This is supposedly the largest Hard Rock Cafe in the world, so we thought it'd be fun to check it out. The 2 stars are for ambiance alone - it's very impressively decorated, complete with a spinning pink car above the bar and many other cool features. The food is abysmal. I went in with low expectations but it was even worse than that. I ordered the gochuang wings. While the meat was cooked fine, the marinade/sauce was so salty that it was barely edible. My girlfriend ordered the salmon plate. For $30 she got a small fillet of salmon with the same salty sauce on top, very undercooked vegetables and a scoop of flavorless mashed potatoes. It was like a school cafeteria lunch. Visit for the vibes and a drink but not the food. read more

Let's Rock n Roll Baby !!! I was invited to a birthday dinner at The HRC located at city walk . The walk from the parking area to the restaurant was a bit difficult for some of the party as they were some expecting moms and elderly that didn't realize you go through the same process as going into the theme parks. So prepare for a long walk , security check and shifting through the crowd all before getting to the restaurant if you have reservations . Once inside we were greeted to take a photo which later was taken for purchase and optional.once we sat in the private room , our service was ok. A lot of mistakes on the order and it seemed like the server wasn't very experienced . Food was over priced American bar food with a few nicer options but nothing that would make me go back to eat or book a private dinner for family or business. We ran into the Hard Rock because they were the only full service kitchen open after 10pm on Monday night. We sat at the bar and ordered the ribs - they are far from "fall off the bone"....more like gnaw off the bone, though they looked like they would be very good. When visiting Universal Orlando, we stayed at Hard Rock Hotel and we wanted to try the cafe as well. My mom just finished cancer treatments and we wanted this trip to be special - loved the photo opportunity and this photo is extra special to me. This review was for last month - I was surprised that many of the CityWalk restaurants weren't open past midnight considering that it was a popular area. But the Hard Rock Cafe was open until 2:00AM! We booked it for our party of 10, but because it was so late, they couldn't sit us at one table - that was fine. It was literally just the adults at one, and the kids at the other. We had great service, they made sure to communicate with us and checked in with us. We never felt rushed, even they were all obviously preparing the close the kitchen. They never made us feel like we couldn't enjoy our meal and kept our drinks refilled! They also gave the little ones toys which we appreciated! Many things were ordered since we were so hungry! We walked in late after AP night and grabbed a table at the bar. Our bartender/server was very nice and we received our food quickly. However, nothing after that was great. The drinks were not very tasty - my partner said his mojito was probably the worst he'd had. For food, he generally liked his salad but I ordered their regular smash burger. The burger was so salty, I literally had to take breaks to eat it, and didn't finish. It tasted like the shaker had dropped on top of it. It also didn't have the onions it was supposed to have and if it had the sauce, I didn't taste it. The fries were pretty good but also so salty. She was awesome, so friendly and checked on us several times and others around my table. Very attentive and with a great attitude. Walked in around 10-1030pm so it was late and the place was pretty full. Got greeted and sat us at a table right away. Took our order, food came out fairly quickly and it was hot and delicious. I ordered a full slab of baby back ribs with French fries and my friend ordered buffalo wings. The ribs were mvp, deliciously seasoned (dry rub and saucy) exactly the way I like them! Had a horrible disappointing experience at this location and would not recommend coming here. Had to spend almost 3 hours waiting time until getting food. We were excited to come as this is the biggest Rock Cafe in the world. We were told the wait time was about 25 min and would receive a text when it's our turn. We waited 40 minutes and didn't receive a text. When we went to the counter, they said we can go in. If we had not went back to the counter, we would have never been seated. After being seated, it took about 15 minutes for the waiter to arrive. We ordered our drinks, appetizer, and main course so that everything can come out at the same time as soon as it's ready. There was a super long wait until we received our appetizer nachos. We did a $5 add on for guacamole, but only a tiny portion was given. 30 minutes after receiving our appetizer, our waiter came to our table and asks if she should enter in our order for entree. This order should have been entered the same time as the appetizer, so now we had to wait again for our entree to cook after our appetizer was long done. Out of patience, we waited 1.5 hours and our food and waiter never came. We went to the counter to ask for our food and 2 different waiters brought out our food in a couple seconds. It seems like our table was forgotten by the waiter. We spent almost 3 hours at this restaurant until we were served our entree only when asked. No apology from the waiter and then on the receipt, the waiter circled the tip section with a smiley face asking for tip. We came to this place when Universal Studios was not busy or crowded (no wait in line at Universal). Hard to imagine how things would be when they're actually busier. We got drinks at the bar during our 40 minutes wait and ordered the mango berry cooler mocktail. It was very sweet. We stopped by the Hard Rock for lunch after spending the morning at Islands of Adventure. We were seated right away, and our server Lexi was very welcoming and helped us decide what to order. Maddie got the nachos, and I ordered the NYC Burger, one of their specialty tour burgers. It came with fried onions, cheese, and even fried cheesecake! Lots of memorabilia to lol at, tons of seating, they have the normal hard rock food, and the service once it gets busy was lacking. First, the directions kept sending us to different places. 1st a dead end by a security post, then the Hard Rock Hotel. It's a good thing we left early and didn't miss the show. Other persons were dealing with the same thing. Anyway, this is located NEXT TO the Hard Rock Cafe @ CityWalk. It is a walk from the parking lot to the place itself, so my ladies be mindful of wanting to wear heals. The place was fairly clean, including the bathroom. The bar was at the back which is the entrance to the LIVE. The drinks were pretty okay, not strong or anything. Before the show, the screens in the front display some of the upcoming shows that will be shown at the Live, which is cool. The staff all were pretty friendly and mostly on point. You had persons who paid for standing room in the back come to the front and stand and block persons who purchased their tickets that were in the front. That was quite annoying, but the ushers/security gently let persons know they couldn't be there, so there was order. I guess it's a good place for entertainment. read more

Delicious! We had their flatbread before rushing off to ride some more rides. The flatbread was fantastic. I also tried their passion fruit mai tai and their bubble gum shot. Both delicious. We just visited Universal in Florida and we like to visit the Hard Rock Cafe's around the world. My wife hasn't been to this one and she was impressed by the size. It is absolutely huge. We are big fans of movies and music so we like to peruse the artifacts from all the different musicians. Now the cool thing also is that they have a CBGB's room as well as a piece of the Berlin Wall, which is located to the right side of the restaurant. Don't miss it. It is a piece of history. The food is solid and we enjoyed the Nachos and some French Fries. The service was pretty good but they got swamped pretty quickly as we were some of their first customers of the day. Overall a positive experience. This is a great place for families with kids too specially if you want to show them a thing or two about music memorabilia. read more

Stopped in here during our VIP tour at Universal for a quick lunch at the bar. It was open seating and we were able to find a space (kids are allowed to sit at the bar for lunch with an adult too which was helpful since we had a limited time for lunch and didn't want to wait for a table). Hard Rock has great decor at all of their locations and love the music history on the walls to talk to the kids about. Always great music playing too! The bartenders were amazing and they were working as a team to get drinks and food out to us so we could get back on our tour. I had a burger and it was delicious and cooked perfectly!
