But it is late in a town I do not know anything else and they are near the on ramp to the Interest highway. Atmosphere - The new cookie cutter style of McDonald's. They have three big TV's one showing information about flood information and the others college football. One of the two soft drink machines was broken with a simple note taped to it. What I found discussing was that they had little trays with condiments in them. One of the trays was low in the number of salt packets and the ones that remained very brown which I assume is from grease. But one thing I thought was really cool was the big clock on the wall; I wish I had a camera with me. It looks like Salvador Dali had created it. Food Appetizer - It is fast food. Main Course - I one thing I have learned about fast food chain restaurants is not to go during peak hours so your food does not sit there for hours before they serve it to you. I ordered the Angus Bacon & Cheese. This is the first time I have had this burger. The bacon was cooked a little too long; bacon is so hard to get right for everyone. The red onions were very crisp and loads of flavor in it. The meat was juicy and the sauce on the burger was tasty. Two slices of cheese, one on each side of the patty. The fries were not over salted that you find typically at McDonald's. Again coming at off hours provided freshly made food and the fries really showed that. Dessert - Did not order any as we wanted to get back on the road for three hours in front of us. Service - Prompt is the best way to put it. The person in charge was the one who waited on us. But she glazed over when she realized that the Minot HS soccer team arrived. I wonder if they got hit by the Mandan HS football team as their game just ended too. It's below average for a Subway...both locations…read more The service is hit and miss, and occasionally you'll get a guy or two that could care less about the distribution of meat or veggies on your sandwich (one side loaded to the hilt, the other with nothing on it). Other times, the service is good, and so is the sandwich. It all depends on who's working. Three years ago, the Subways in Jamestown were open until 11 p.m. Now they close at 9 p.m. Soon, they'll close before the banks do.
