I am a carpenter myself but I'm not an expert in everything as most carpenters will profess, this job was a finishing job. Well the wife and I could not be happier with this guys work. It looks great, it was completed before the estimated time line (5-6 days), and they even showed up after we had paid them out and everything was inspected, to address a concern we had. Anyway, they asked if we would recomend them to others in the future, and I said i'll even YELP! about you so... Thanks. 6 stars if I could ( * * * * * * ). Then I was told they would put a lien on my house if I did not pay. I would not go anywhere near these people with a ten foot pole.

The folks working on his behalf made numerous mistakes, causing the project to go over time (by multiple weeks) and over budget, to the point we terminated working with them and had to finish the project ourselves (which was more time and more money for us). If Joe had been on site, it may have gone differently, but in the end, it was a very upsetting experience. Looking online, I see only the positive, raving reviews, but the company has been in business for so long that I wonder where the other reviews are...? If your project is unusual at all, shop around.

When I first met with Joe, he was very personable and gave good advice/suggestions! Sometimes, we think we know what we want, but when it gets close to getting done...not so much! Do It All Contracting had reasonable rates/pricing; e.g. another contractor was going to charge $20.00 more per hour for the electrical work. I was very satisfied with the workmanship and the work was completed on budget and schedule!

Our fence is now 20+ years old and was in bad need of a proper upgrade. Last August my husband & I…read morereached out to at least 4 fence contractors to get estimates on the work needed then narrowed it down to one called Red Isle Contracting Ltd. We set up a time to meet with Craig MacArthur (owner) so he could look at our requirements. He came precisely at the time he said he would, took down the info needed and got back to us with an estimate for the job. Although our job was 'just' a fence about 150 linear feet, Craig gave the project and our requests no less attention. He always answered any calls or emails promptly or made a trip out to talk to us directly. We had requested that this work be done in the early spring of this year while the ground is still frozen in hopes it would cause less damage to the landscaping on either side of the fence. Come the last week in April, the fence was 'happening'. Ten hours later we were the proud owners of a new fence. Our experience with Red Isle Contracting was completely seamless from start to finish. A huge thank you to Craig, Demetri (logistics manager) and the carpenters for making it such a stress-free project. This is truly the company you want to hire!

DO NOT use Eric and or Eiffel construction for any project. Eiffel completed a pool deck of stamped…read moreconcrete for us at a significant cost. We did NOT go with the cheapest option. This pool deck included a shower and drain as well. The concrete has cracks through out, the drain had no slope so the shower water goes out into a building, he has sealed it twice both times with terrible results. Upon his last return he viewed the pool deck and admitted there was discolouration, flaking, whitening, roller marks through out, bubbling, the list goes on. We've had other contractors out, I contacted the sealant manufacturer. All have indicated these issues are 100 percent application issues. With this knowledge when Eric returned after consulting his "supplier" he arrived with xylene a chemical used to determine if you have a acrylic or polyurethane sealant. I'm aware of this product and it's use. He proceeds to "test" spots and then indicated that because the existing damage is now clear (the chemical simply reacts with the sealer re-melting it and making it look clear) that means the roller marks, fading, chipping, flaking etc are all due to chemical damage. I called him out on his lies directly asked him if he was going to make it right or not. He offered to re-do it but wanted to charge me! He's tried 2 times and failed and now I should pay a 3rd. Genuinely I would not recommend Eric or his buisness to any family or friend. Save yourself the hassle and find someone else. Feel free to contact myself for photos or further comment. They didn't understand our needs because of language barriers, and after we made sure to explain what we wanted they weren't honest with us, and the ground under the stairs sank, and on their mistake, we had to pay 1000$ to have it repaired. The ground is still uneven and sinking in some areas, so I wouldn't recommend them... a waste of money. We'll probably have to destroy it all and start again with professionals.

After waiting for three months for another company to cut and install a new window into our…read morebasement, we called Complete Concrete and they came out and put in a nice legal egress window within two weeks. I found Complete through Derrick, the top concrete cutters in Edmonton, who recommended Complete because Complete does the whole thing: cut, provide the window, install, seal, everything. They will even dig for the access if necessary. They got the job done in about five hours. Complete put in a 42" X 22" Peace EZ Escape window that pops out for egress, making the basement bedroom legal, but without cutting such a big hole that it made us worry about leaks. Some of the hopper and slider windows other companies put in have to go really deep, and that's like having a well right next to your foundation. Complete keeps these windows in stock, so no waiting around for the window to come in and the hassle that goes with that. Also, because they order so many of these windows that they pass the savings along to the customer. It's probably half the price of a window that you would custom order. It took a good bit of sleuthing to find Complete Concrete, I had to go back to Pleistocene era technology - cold calling on a telephone to find a company that could do what we want. Complete gets their business almost entirely through word-of-mouth, and even with no advertising they are so busy that I am just one of three jobs they are doing today. This is a family run business that's been in Edmonton for a long time. I was very pleased.

This is one of very few contractors I've had working for me, where I actually felt like I got more than I paid for. I believe that you may find cheaper contractors, but I doubt you'll ever find a contractor that will give you better value for you dollar... as the saying goes... if you think it's expensive to hire a professional, just try hiring an amateur.
