This pub is really big inside. Holy crap!! They have a lot of beers on tap and in the bottle. Food was pretty good too, and they were able to make some vegetarian options for me. Tons of seating (they were able to put together a good-sized area for a huge group we had yesterday too) but the cloth bench seats REALLY need a good steam cleaning - them shits are stained!! Bathrooms are kinda dirty too. Oh well. Nice location with plenty of parking and even a little playground out back (perfect for drunks)! read more

Had Sunday lunch here about two weeks back and was it was terrible: Their latte translates to watery coffee in ugly cups (they have nice cups, but they had to reach down to get them, so obviously i got the ugly one). but except for that good bar service. We had terrible service when we sat down to eat, after about 10 minutes a waitress comes up and tells us we will have to wait another ten minutes for our carvery. 20 minutes later we get served possibly the worst excuse for a roast dinner I have seen in many years: Barely cooked obviously frozen potatoes DRY meat, when we asked for a medium bit of beef we were told it had been under the lamp for too long, no apology. The veg was as cold as the unheated plates and seemed like it was out of a tin, followed by watery gravy. All in all, crap service and crap food. Would not recommend at all. read more

This pub does pretty good food and due to its proximity a couple of minutes away from the offices of Central Park it tends to be absolutely rammed on a Friday lunch time. The staff cope with the rushes pretty well but at times it can be frustrating as the person in front of you at the bar orders a seemingly never ending round of food and drinks. Everything is very good value for money with most sandwiches coming in at around a fiver and in the summer they have a gorgeous beer garden with plenty of tables to sit outside at. Large car park at rear but it does get busy at peak times. read more

On arrival the building looked welcoming but very run down and looked in need of a face lift. There was a wide range of drinks, service was good, however the food was a little slow in arriving. The starters were a little disappointing in the fact that the food was a little cold, however the Main course was a welcomed suprise, good quality steak uniquely served on the black rock keeping the food hot. The sauces were home made and tasted really good along with the home made chips. The main thing that really let the experience down was the decor and the cleanliness of the establishment, Windows were dirty, bench seating was stained and ripped. The tables were too small to accommodate the black rock plates etc. The final criticism was on the depature where they did not take card payments. To summarise, the food experience was let down by the surroundings. read more
